so my cars been running ok for a year. ive had all kinds of issues but most are sorted. so the other day i found i had a split in one of my samco elbows. not having the cash for a new one, i repaired it and now my car will boost past 5psi. so, with the car now overboosting, im left with a sort of important decision.
since the car was tuned for 5 psi, i really shouldnt be running it now that it overboosts, even though im not leaning out or anything really worrying. i also have an h23 intake manifold and throttle id love to replace my current f22 manifold with. only problem is, i know i have to plug a coolant passage on the manifold and getting the stock one out is less than easy with the firewall jutting out the way it does.
so, should i take the time to install the manifold and all that junk, and then get it tuned, or get it tuned and still keep the manifold for a time when i may have more time to troubleshoot it?
maybe i should just swap throttle bodies just to get things moving... but i dont know, i just want to see the car run from my first setup, i have no idea what power its making and id hate to ruin all of it by attempting to swap this manifold and then getting a crazy leak or some shit...
what do you guys think?
