    Default Exhaust question!!!!!!!!!!

So I have a 96 ridgeline and I want a exhaust to open the sound of the motor up. Now Ive looked at a few.

Now after looking at these 2 and the price, wouldnt I just get the same effect by cutting the muffler off and putting one of those big car performance mufflers on it. Like this.

I'd stick w/ the Gibson exhaust, or just take it to an exhaust shop & get 3" piping to open it up a little bit then get a muffler at the end of it (non-ricey) to quiet it down a little bit & put turn downs or something ..

turns down? Also I want it to make some noise thats the purpose but not whiney like a civic. Im assuming the noise comes from displacement and the muffler and its a 3.5 so thats good. I know I cant sound like a v8 stang but a little throaty would be nice.

You have so many resonators on the Ridgeline that it wouldn't be that loud unless you get a full exhaust all the way from the manifold or something .. but yeah a 3.5 just won't produce the whine like a Civic anyway.
