if you're in the market for 615's then the ziex is not even an option....no where near the same level tire but very few need a competition tire or will even put it to use

i have the ziex on the fit and it is fine but as you said they are not even comparable. the 615's are loud and wear very quickly.
note: i still like the 615's and have bought 2 sets of them, i just dont think they are the best choice for commuting to work everyday.

I heard bad things about the Ziex, I was looking at the FK452s a couple months ago but ended up getting a set of Kumho Ecsta SPTs. They continue to impress me even after a month and a new suspension setup on the WRX. They're almost as good as the S03s I had on the car beforehand but cost half as much as the Bridgestones.

Thought about the Hankook Ventus Rs2 Z212???? They're comparable to the Falken in grip, but have better wet handling. I have heard great things about these tires.

Me too but they dont have a very good treadwear rating for those of us that daily drive our cars.

The kdw is not offered in the size he needs.

Moving on here are my experiences. When i had my vw the first set i bought was the the 512s, compared to the crappy goodyears that were originally on it when i bought it, they were WORLDS better. But after driving on them for a little bit i noticed they were swaying, soft sidewalls, and just did nothing for me anymore. But as far as a reliable tire they were GREAT overall. After a little over a month with the 512s i moved onto the hankook RS2. Thick, meaty, and very stiff sidewalls for a 14inch tire. It was V-rated which was mainly why i bought. Just about every other tire in that size was H-rated, including the azenis. I LOVED the hankooks. They had lots of grip, pretty decent wet trac, and it felt like it could hold turns forever. The only drawback was that when the weather got cold they needed to warm up. I cought myself a couple times with the backend going completely sideways on me on cold nights driving too hard on cold tires. Mind you my car was a wagon that was completely stripped. After a little over six months of very hard driving and a few clutch drops i sold the car. But they still had some life left on them. There.........thats my 2cents-lol

Advan life is less than RT-615 and the advan costs a lot more. I just got some RT-615s to replace my advans and I like them so far.

i put some 615s on my buddies Cobalt SS (i work @ kauffman) and he loves them...granted not the best rain tire ever made nor will it give you the best wear (that's why i have BFG KDWs on my car best of both worlds)...but the sacrifice in wet traction definetly makes up for it in the dry....

i love my KDW's but i know the RT-614, i seen the Flaken drift team run the tires reversed, since they are asim. and wondering if that makes them slide out better or grip????????
