Default Need New Tires? For EVO

Just had a few questions I've been looking at tires and was just wondering if

255/40/17's would fit an evo 8 the rim is 17 by 8 inch's wide

I wanna put bfgoodrich kdw2's or also known as bfgoodrich NT's
Just didn't know if that size would fit that rim

    Thanks

you can put a 255 40 17 on the evo rim but if you get lowered i think it might rub. I have two friends with that size with no problems but theyre not lowered. I run 245 40 17 but im getting lowered soon so i didnt go the other route. BTW we all are running the bfg kdw 2's

I will probably run 245/40/17 when my tires give out on me in the next few months. I haven't decided if I want to lower it yet. That way if I do, I can avoid all the rubbing issues. Although, the 255 look and drive awesome from what I'm told.

It'll fit, but 255 is too big for an 8 inch wide wheel, I tihnk you'll feel the sidewalls squirm alot, especially w/ the KDWs. Don't know much about their sidewall stiffness, but I'm guessing not too great compared to the stockers and RT615s (irrc 255 RT615s is what Evo guys tend to run). Is there a reason why you want to run such wide tires?
Please tell me if you think my car looks good. But don't tell me if you think it's ugly - only on IA
