Default What the hell do i need? to make 800hp+ on my car!

    I have a 3000gt, im 16..you dont trust a 16 year with a car like dat.
so im planning to make this car go over 800hp.
and i was wondering what are the core things i need to get.

so far i plan to get
    • 1000c injectors

    • a better electrical system
( so i can send more electricity to burn the extra air/fuel mixture better) ^ this one im not sure if this is really worth it, i get mixed recommendations of it.
    • Forged Rod and Pistons.
    • A Sequential Set up of a Gt45 turbo and a gt28.
    • A Very huge blowoff valve.
    and alot of ecu tuning.

^^^ all that im planning to do next year.
after that im planning to save a few more months and get this
    • A HUGE and Dual pass, radiator
    • Heat Treatment to the engine
    • Twin side mount intercoolers
    • Better down pipes and exhaust system
    • Huge 14'' breaks
    • stronger fuel system and oil system
A HUGE WING IN THE BACK LIKE A RICER!!!...sike..

i was wondering what else u guys can help me with to get for the first part of the list to do next year.

just for quick refrence, my 3000gt sl has a 3l v6 doch.

Leave me the car for 1 year, and bring $15,000 with you *for starters*, and I'll hook it up.

But if it's your daily driver and you need it to get back and forth to your job at Kroger, I might be able to do it in 9 months.

The two turbos you want to run are worth more than the car. Prove me wrong and build it and I'll say I'm sorry.

You should start by trying to get 300hp to the wheels and work from there.

How much hp do monster trucks put out? I would suggest getting in your 3000gt and having one of those things drive over you a few times. Yes the car would be toast and you might die, but that is the only chance in hell you would be able to get 800+hp "on" it, as far as i'm concerned.

or maybe you just shouldn't jump up on a car forum and start asking retarded "why is the sky blue?" and "how are babies made?" type questions...

800hp is retarded... For you anyway...

Take a few years and learn about cars, because that 800hp is going to be an unreliable fucking paperweight unless you've got DEEEEEEEEP pockets and a ton of automotive knowledge. As some dude said above, aim for some shit like 400hp, then go from there.

Honestly you are missing about 99.8% of the shit you would ideally need for a high hp setup. It would take me an hour to clean up that horror show excuse for a list.

Man, we've all been in your situation, just getting into cars. There is a lot of shit you just need to read and learn. I don't know much about the 3000's but is the car already turbo? If not, I'd look into a turbo motor swap. If so, just start off with a decent turbo-back exhaust setup and an intake.

What you NEED to find is a 3000gt dedicated forum... They will no doubt have recommended modification lists based upon the specific car and model. You should also read up on what other people are doing to their cars and what kind of power they are making with those modifications.

Another word of advice... If you jump up saying "i am looking to make 800hp" when 99% of the local import scene will never touch anything close to that, you are asking to be flamed... As you were.

    R.. O.. F.. L..

You are missing about $25k worth of shit form that list you would need to get NEAR 800hp, not to mention a 3.0L V6 cant spool a GT42 AND a GT28 (rather 1.5L cant spool a GT42)

You want a 800HP 3s, Spend 10k on a 3.7L stroker kit, which by the way only includes a short block, additional 3k on the heads. 3-5k into a fuel system. buy a DR1000 turbo kit 5k. then so much extra shit i AM NOT going to go into it here.

Just because ray pampena can put down over 800 AWHP, doesn't mean you will come ANYWHERE close, without spending 50k+ for a shop to do it for you

Then you want to run all this through you FWD car? Personally, I think I can attest to the fact that you will fail miserable without ALOT of help.. you know.. seeing how I am at that point?

I really dont know what to say.. I dont mean to burn you on this topic, but your in way over your head. If you really want some help making your car quicker, visit www.3si.org/forum and check out the Georgia3S section. We will be able to help you out, but you will need to rethink everything you think you know.

hey now.. the supra's engine isn't any better than the 6g72, aside from a few oiling issues to the mains commonly found in the 6g72.

yea, but they have the same shortblock (aside from the oil squirters in the TT block)

yea, It is alot more common to see a 800hp supra, but that is because there is a larger fanbase > more shops for the supra than 3/s

There are several 800AWHP+ 3/s cars, as high as a 935 AWHP Auto. There is even one running a [email protected] on a completly stock shortblock and no n20.

lol SL's are incredibly heavy and slow. They can get dusted by stock civics.

This will get you to 450hp in under 1000$
just get a turbonator (35% gain)
    new spark plugs
    VAFC II (to tune it)
DSM 300CC injectors (for superior fuel flow)
    Z32 MAF
    CRX Throttle Body
    Profec- B controller

    and some tuning

Lol, quite a mod list you got there!

3400 lbs + 222 hp stock isnt that bad.. mine put down 195FWHP @ 3200 lbs before I put some turbos on it, plenty to keep the civics behind me

800 whp and 16? you must be kidding. heres an idea.
    1. learn to drive.
    2. dont come back saying you can, because you cant.
    3. learn to drive.
    4. get a bit more power. learn to drive.
    5. repeat step 4 until you either crash and die because you ignored step 1-3 or you actually can handle a high hp car and by then youll realize 800whp in a daily driver is kinda stupid for a 16 yr old.
When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.

not to bash on ruiner at all, but he'd be better off talking to people that have done more with the platform.

95% of the people on here will never see 800WHP, end of story. There are some really fast cars, but 800WHP in a FWD car is pointless and pretty unrealistic, unless that's your thing.

I'm sure if you asked what you could do to get 300-350hp someone might actually be able to help you, and might take you seriously.

Do you know what an exponential curve is? The first 100 HP is fairly cheap compared to what the second 100HP will cost, and the first will seem like pocket change compared to what the third 100HP will cost and so on. You see all these fancy fast cars in magazines, they look great, they go fast, they handle well, but you never really see what the owner has sunk into the car, and they never talk about how many axels they break, how many head gaskets they've popped, all the problems they've had along the way.

......Yet another reason for a simple I.Q. test before granting the ability to post.

Seriously, at the age of 16, I really doubt you have the maturity to handle a car with half the HP that you are asking for. Go buy yourself a POS and learn how to drive before you even think about a powerful car.

    1. learn to drive.
    2. dont come back saying you can, because you cant.
    3. learn to drive.
    4. get a bit more power. learn to drive.
    5. repeat step 4 until you either crash and die because you ignored step 1-3 or you actually can handle a high hp car and by then youll realize 800whp in a daily driver is kinda stupid for a 16 yr old.
lol i know man, it was just a project idea, ill stick to a lower hp level but i know what u mean, alot of people die with tree in the middle of their car because they though they could handle it, im takin it slow, i havent pushed my car over 70 and i did 70 only cuz i was on the highway, i drive like granny man.

i wanted to do this whole thing on a vr-4 because since its a awd, u know and its already got all the connections needed for the turbo set up, but its the same short block so idk if it was really worth it, it will be probally ATLEAST a year , most likely will do it in two all the stuff i want on it, all i really need is something fast enough to be ok with 400 sounds just fine, stock vr-4 pushes around 320 i think, so a lil over a stock vr-4 and ill cool with it.

Really, I don't want you getting a VR-4.. First off you need to start doing better in school, because I can't say I understood a word you just said. I don't think you have .0001% clue what you are wanting to get yourself into. i doubt you would even be able to maintain a STOCK VR-4.

First of all, those injectors are smaller than stock vr-4 injectors
