Omnipower has a great setup, my brother's GSR sits perfectly and it came with full coilovers, LCAs, and F&R camber kit. best deal and nicest ride i've seen for the money.

I personally have not owned either... BUT... I have asked the same question to a lot of people.

A friend has had tein basics, omni streets, and form/functions. He said that for a street set-up he liked the form/functions, and he was very UNHAPPY with the tein basics. However, he did say that he thought the omni sports would have been stiffer than he would have enjoyed on the street.

    Hope that helps a little.

    Hrmm, interesting..

I was also wondering the same question of the ride quality/handling for the streets with particularly the Form & Function but also the Omni, anymore insight on these 2 brand coilovers?

I like the Form & Function because they're a good deal and are adjustable, for the price of the non-adjustable Omni Powers.

i have had both omni power and the teins. the omni powers in my opinion were way to stiff for street, terrible ride.. maybe i just got a bad set but i would definately reccomend the teins. awesome ride. if you like the horse and buggy effect go omni power

i dont think many people on here are going to be able to give you the info your looking for when it comes to performance handling.

on the street, the OMNI STREETs are great, good ride, no issues. the sports were way to stiff for my street car an i couldnt stand them.

My GF has Tein RAs and she loves them (not basics) and she competes in NASA with her ITR.

i think youll find that most people are running the Omni Streets for a street an OCCASIONAL auto-x session. if you plan on competing alot more, then i would run the Konis and GC setup as most people love those, although the ride is a bit harsh

most of you wont ever play with your suspension enough to really see the benefit in the high dollar coilovers, so my advice is this:

the omni, megans, F&F, D2s, are all the same. buy the cheapest an the one that least breaks

My recommendation would be to find people who have both setups and take a ride in them. It is so subjective for someone to say "Yeah, I like a firm ride and I want to autox." Well, my opinion of a firm ride is probably a lot different from your opinion of a firm ride. There is a also a lot more to suspension than just springs/shocks or coilovers. You've got to take into account bushings, tires, wheels and everything else. Hell, the setup on my car can be dramatically changed if I adjust my damping, tire/wheel combo, alignment, sway bar settings or ride heights. My advice is to look around and talk to different people to find a car that is similar to the setup you would like to have and then take a ride in it.

What's the spring rate on the omni streets?

The Tein Basic for the DC2/4 is 448F/336R (or 8/6k for you metric people)
