    Default downpipe question?

What's up guys, I have a custom polished 2.5 inch downpipe. My setup is on an s2000 with a gt3076r, I have yet to put it together. My 46mm wastegate plumbs back into the downpipe from the manifold. My question is, is it ok to run this 2.5 inch downpipe or should I upgrade to a 3 inch and just run the wastegate into the atmosphere???

I also have an s2000, but have a 3" downpipe and turboback. I personally ran my wastegate dump striaght into the atmosphere.
