Lol...no problem...just speakin' my mind!
Racing on the street is gay as shit. Everybody knows it or should. There is a big differeince between "taking off" on somebody that revs at you at a light for 1-2 gears than getting together, betting money, and going out doing triple digits somewhere for freaking 5 miles dodging cops and traffic.
There are places in this world where people would KILL for having a CHANCE at running in a track because there either isn't one or the nearest one is a gazillion miles away. In GA, we have SEVERAL tracks where all you monkeys that like to BET and associate the size of your pecker with the speed of your car CAN go just about any week thru the biggest portion of the entire year. If you take out a map of GA, there are tracks in the NE, NW, and S. IF you are REALLY that hard up to run, why not go to where the REAL big boys go??? Scared of the clock? Scared maybe you'll find out you're not as fast as you THINK you are? Scared the people that have REAL race cars are gonna put a hurtin' on ya???? Maybe you're just plain LAZY???? Pick one. Because if you REALLY wanted to run, in GA, there are places where you can run til you get tired.
I don't want to hear the cliche "Commerce sucks cause they don't prep good" argument. Who the fuck "preps" PUBLIC roads for ya????? I also don't want to hear the argument of "....it's too far for me...." :blah: That's bullshit because if you've got time to hang out in parking lots til 3 a.m.....you've got time to drive even an hour to a track.
Again, I'm not throwing rocks in a glass house because I myself have done my fair share of red light dashes when the ricers want some, but I certainly don't go out and make a habit of it. To be honest, I probably shouldn't be doing the few times that I do.
Even with that said, I get tired of hearing the same lame ass whining about how they should build a track in your freaking backyard or else you'll just "take it to the streets then"......People get flamed on here when they whine about getting busted for racing or getting busted for speeding or tear up their cars and to be honest it's rightly so to get flamed for that. If you can't afford the consequences, then you shouldn't play.
My :2cents:
yeah what he said :goodjob:
whats the closest track in cobb county?

Dallas isnt the best track in the world, but it costs a whole 10 bucks on Friday night to run all u want. I went there a couple of times just to practice launching and get an idea of what my car would do. I have to admit i play around a little on the streets, but drag racing is not worth it to me to take a chance at getting caught.
is dallas an 1/8 or a 1/4?
sweet..Dallas is not far at all..my dad owns a store up there.
1/8 mile, but if u get there early it is possible to get about 15-20 runs
Wow what an utter display of disrespect. And BTW posting street racing on a public board is just asking for a few overnighters in jail. Just my opinion.Quote:

rb20Drftr, take your little ass to the next SEDA or DG Trials event and do your drifting there.
Racing on the street is a fucking pointless argument because their are so many discrepancies between "what's dangerous" and "what's illegal". If you so much as chirp your tires next to another car that happened to do the same you can be arrested. You could be racing to 10 miles an hour, but you're still "racing". It's illegal and they will put you in handcuffs or fine the shit out you and suspend your license with both. Their are some safer methods than others when it comes to "illegal street racing" but it's still illegal and it's still not sanctioned with a safety crew on hand.
I'll occasionally do a 40-80 roll-on on the freeway with a friend just to compare/illustrate the differences between our cars. It's still illegal. I would love to go to the "street races" just because I enjoy the environment. You're surrounded by people who are into the same shit you are, and everyone's got something different to add. It's nice to be able to have the crowd choose which cars they want to see run, and it's interesting to see what so and so has done to his car. It can be very dangerous, it is illegal.
I live 5 minutes from Barrett, so I frequent that place a lot. Man oh man does it piss me off to have assholes you like (rb20Drftr) coming out and doing idiotic shit that makes the cops treat everyone, including the more mild mannered individuals like scum. If you're going to do something stupid, do it somewhere private, where cops wont generalize everyone else in a 5 mile vicinity to be just as big of a moron as you. Otherwise, take your stupid ass wanna-be drifter shit elsewhere.
Dawg Dawg Dawg... Friday night the walmart parking lot everyone meets there around 900 930 then we have a spots....
^^^ wtf
Blast from the past.
more like a noobie lol
