    Default evo 8 turbo

    Will i need any modification to put a evo 8 big 16g turbo into a 96 eclipse gst. Is it a direct bolt on??

    they are, u need a small adapter

    the evo 3's and shit are direct bolt on

    I think the problem with is though is the turbo sits the wrong direction. I have read on evolutionm.net that the blades would be spinning backwards or some shit. That and turning the turbo causes charge pipe issues. Dont hold me to this though.

    thanks for the info everybody ... i need all the info i can get ... if thats too hard then iam just gonna spend the money and buy a direct bolt on ... maybe a 20g ..

    My bad on my post i left out a word or two the turbo sits backwords, on evo 8's. They can be made to fit but will require new downpipe setup etc. NOT a direct replacement.

    From previous dsm i've had i would go with a evo 3 16g, u get great top end power with minimal lag. I had a 20g but didn't like it much. I also had a 18g didn't like it much either. if you decide to go garret you have many options, but kind of a pita. Switching from internal gates to external, and having to get a new exhaust manifold downpipe etc. Just my 2 Cents. Sorry about previous post.
