    where would be the closes DMV that is out of the metro atl area ...

    Umm... got no clue where you are.. but the two I've been to are: the one on county services road in Marietta= SUCKS. And then there's the one up on canton hwy at Piedmont Rd. It's just as busy as the marietta one, but you can go in, get a number, and hang out around there til your number is called, dont have to wait in line. you can just sit around and hang out... compared to waiting in a line out the door at the marietta office.

    Well, from what I've heard, the Heard county DMV is always walk in walk out no wait lol... but it's also like an hour south west of ATL.
