i know terry is making 575 on a stock sleeve block, but 680 i have never seen.
i think peter did 480 on a STOCK GSR IE stock rods, pistons sleeves.
i doubt youll find anyone to agree with you on 650 an under no sleeves. I usually reccomend 450+ to sleeve it for added insurance.
anything above 500 needs to be sleeved
$8000 from a shop wont get you the 600whp your speaking of.
We charge $3500 to build a motor, thats rods, pistons, machine work, assembly, new OEM stuff, ARP, but a stock head. Add another $550 for valves, spring, ret. so we are at $4000 roughly.
Add $300 for JG edelbrock manifold
so $4300 finishes up the "motor" with stock sleeves that can RELIABLY handle 450-500whp.
now the turbo kit:
Injectors $300
Turbo $650-750 for a Turbonetics or off the shelf garrett like a 62-1,60-1, T3/T4 60 trim
Turbo Manifold $850 (peakboost) or TDF
Downpipe $150-250
oil lines and fittings $150
Intercooler $180
Piping $300-400 depending on couplers
BOV $200
Wastegate $230
Engine management $180 for Crome PRo, $599 for S300 assuming you have a chipped ECU
3bar Map $60 pigtail $40
Walbro 255 $100
EBC $360
Turbo Kit PARTS:$3800 WITH CROME PRO add more for S300
$4300+3800=$8100
but alas that turbo kit isnt installed. I would charge $650-800 to install that kind of turbo kit.
so we are easily at $9000 BEFORE TUNING. Add 3 hours of tuniing at $140/hr=420
yeah i was right, about $10,000 out the door, $11000 with sleeves.
you guys from ISP are quoting numbers by building it yourself. No one is arguning that, but remember my responses are based on me doing the work. IE a SHOP.
