There is no such thing as better. Just one makes more power out of the factory. The Ls series has a weak ass aluminum block. When you start making a good bit of power on them the blocks crack behind the piston skirts. I have seen this several times

this is very true... but as you know as well as i, the ls block is made in iron also..

The iron blocks are not LS blocks. The Iron is LQ blocks. Either way Iron block is the way to go with big power making cars.
