I live in downtown, right by the Atlanta Union Mission. Its not a crime ridden area at all, but theres definetly some homeless people that have been threatening toward me. I had a bum one time try to rush me when i was walking my dog outside, i stepped back and moved out of the way, he kept walking at me and i crossed the street and yelled for him to stay back. I had a glock .40 on me the entire time, i could have drawn shot and killed his ass no problem, no witnesses.
I just dont think I carry a gun for that reason. That and a 40 year old drunk homeless guy doesnt scare me.
Now if he pulled a knife, different story.

I live downtown right by Phillips Arena, theres not really any bad neighborhoods down here. It only gets bad south of I20 near university avenue. But downtown, midtown, all you gotta worry about is a drunk or cracked out homeless person.

I have had my best friend get shot right in front of me, who got shot trying to help a situation. Now he is paralyzed from waist down. A lady was being robbed and we tried to help her, to our lack of knowledge, the robber had already shot her husband and still had the gun on him. Thankfully that day I didn't get shot right there with my buddy. The robber escaped and was later caught. But that day would have def. went different if either I or my buddy were carrying.

I was raised on Stewart Avenue (AKA Metropolitan Parkway) And i never NEEDED a gun,And that's one of the worse parts of Atlanta....I do have guns now just because of how many dumb asses there are BUT i would rather fight someone hand to hand then to shoot someone out of anger...Sometime a gun is the only option but in this case you have a big mouth fag in a Corvette with a bird chest that hits like a bitch.....No gun needed!

Home invasions are very real. Happened to my neighbour when my wife and new born were at home. Growing up all the criminals i know would go to nice crime free areas to commit crimes. They wern't staying in the hood. People in the hood don't have shit (His words). The suburbs is where all the nice stuff is at and half the time the people in mayberry think it will never happen there because its such a "safe" area.

What was shown in the video was simple battery and classified as a misdemeanor. Pull & use your weapon over a misdemeanor and kiss your rights as a American goodbye, I wish you well in prison. However, if the aggressor had a weapon that changes everything. It then could be classified as aggravated assault/battery which is a felony and better grounds for deploying and using your weapon.
After all, you are not here to convince me...it is the 12 behind the counter that you have to convince that you're justified in killing someone over a misdemeanor.

No, Cleveland Ohio. We were walking out of a bar, a gay bar was next door. Both have last call at 3AM by law and kick everyone out. Gay guy started hitting on my buddy while walking to the car. He blew him off multiple times. Gay guy finally grabbed his waist to get his attention, my buddy turned around and dropped him on the first punch. The guy fell back, head bounced off sidewalk, and had a brain Hemmorage. He died in Traums 6 hours later. My buddy got 20 for Assault with Intent (or something close).
