Honestly I was unaware that you didn't respect the RSX for entering the street tire class. I am also a bit surprised as it's what the car was built for, how it is driven and really exactly where it should have been placed to compete. True the car does outpower the other cars in the class but it outweighs them by FAR too. Also due to the amount of power it makes it is harder for it to hook therefore giving the lighter lower powered cars quite an advantage out of the hole.
Keep in mind that the pro class was won by a car that got off the line better and ultimately held off the higher trapping car all the way down the track. More power doesn't ensure a win and neither does what a car has run before you race to see who wins and thats why you race...just like in football..."On any given Sunday..."
Thank you.
I can empathize with you here as I too struggle with whether the modifications that would make my car do better at the dragstrip would be worth the pricetag in term of compromises to drive the car regularly on the street.
Well I look at it this way. There are many different classes to compete in and just because the barriers I am choosing to knock down don't align with yours doesn't mean I am ANY less competitive than you and certainly doesn't make me more conservative than you in regards to my goals and what this car is doing and will do. The reasons I go to the track are the exact same as yours, to get better, to improve and measure my times, to have marked results and to go faster than anyone else...To Win. I can understand and appreciate that you wish the All Motor Comp class to be bigger and that you want to see the number of enthusiasts and competitors grow. I want to see that too, we are both doing that very thing though and in not too different of ways. You do what you can to rally people together, help them and instill the sense of community. I feel I have shown people a fairly clear path on whats possible out of a K series and that it doesn't necessarily take a chopped up EG to be fast(despite if that is truly is the smartest most cost effective route) it can be done many different ways.
The game may be stagnate right now but that's not a fault that rides on mine nor your shoulders. I know I will be doing things to do better and go faster and I can feel pretty safe in saying that you are doing the same. I know I won't be doing the same shit every year or running the same times and I know you won't be either.
What the fuck does the political disposition of a state have to do with anything here?
All in all Stretch I do get what your saying and I can agree that Ga is behind though I feel it's because we have yet to fully embrace the K series. Untill there are more wanting to really compete and until there are more K setups we will continue to be behind in the race game. How much quicker did the winner of the All motor comp run than the winner of the All motor class? What was the difference in the traps? Can you really then accuse Twisted Loop of not pushing limits or breaking barriers if it placed those clases closer together? Should it be that close?
Don't get me wrong at all Stretch I like you, really have appreciated your help and respect what you are doing but shouldn't it be me asking for more from you instead of you implying more is needed from me? I just want to see a Midnight K swapped car doing low 11s like an All motor comp car should.![]()

Good ol' conservative Red states.....
