I think its an awesome Idea as well, if you weren't so far, I would totally be down to do this, But there are ALOT of risks involved in what your trying to do, but hell, if you want to do it, its your right, but just keep an eye on people. Good luck man!

Im 32 and i have had my shop for five years letting who i want use it so its not denial its confidence that i can handle the problems. As nice as i am im also 6'6" and have beat the hell out of or had locked up everybody that has tsole from me . Macon is not as big as atlanta so besides a few batterys (which i did catch the guys and have locked up) i have gotten back everything stole from my shop . Its called knowing alot of people and having alot of respect . Does sockets get lost and a wrench here and there of course thats why i spent about 2,000 on shit the other day just to organize stuff were when a job is finished it can be put back were it goes so you can tell what your missing .

If you guys thing im trying to have a bunch of young guys in a car club to be cool and give them the ring of all my tools and my shop when im not there then you got the wqrong idea. If anybody on here pmed me and asked right now for me to teach them how to paint there car id tell them be glad to show them and this would be no different . I have a few friends that are as talented as i am and know how to paint a car and build motors that have espressed the intrest in helping people also .

I think you are imagining a bunch of kids up there all night drinking using my shit , changing transmissions ,asking for trouble . I am not that nieve or stupid by any means . When mainstream has a dyno day and everybody gets together ,cooks out has a great time why cant somebody do that say once a month call it a car club while offering to let your members learn something at the same time ?

I would think having twenty people always standing around a dyno all the time would be alot more liability then what im suggesting. Im sure you think its not because scottie is there or james is there well same thing will happen at my shop me or one of the few close friends that i have will have to be there . My tools stay locked up like i said they can use my speacilty tools . Its not hard to miss a welder or a porta power shit like that . Im not lending my sockets and shit that cost 20 a piece for everybody to use . Trust me the guys that work for me lose enough of them alone i dont need any more gone .

When i was 17-18 there was around ten or fifteen of use that was really close and we did our car shit weither it was hydrolics or building a honda we helped each other. I dont see that any more maybe see two friends that help other not hardly any groups . I beleive if you give them something to be apart of which could actually have nothing to do with the shop just a properly run car club that actually did shit that people would cling to it .

I think it's a very good idea that hinges on one huge thing: trusting people. The sad truth of it is that people will screw things up for others even for the most minimal personal gain. If you were to go through with this, it would be a huge risk no matter what, simply because of the human factor.

Good idea in theory, but if this industry has taught me anything:

1) people are cheap, too cheap to do anything
2) most people dont want to do their own work, and what happens if you get 100 members and 30 people leaving their car in your shop for months at a time
3) Liability, theft, damage (no waiver will pay for any of this, andi doubt any insurance company would even insure you with open access to others).


You might get a few to do it, but as far as being enough to be worth the hassle that will come with it, i highly fdoubt it

I agree mike and thats what would make it uniqe because im not trying to make money. I want to have a cook out once a month shit like that . Use the money to actually have a car club worth having . As far as messing my stuff up i have already posted that im not opening my shop up to people doing what ever they wnant . Everything will be monitered and if they dont want to do there own work then they can pay to have it done . Strict rules will be enforced and it will be something everybody will want to be a part of and will have to be voted in yea im going that far . Im serious about this if i do it it will be done the right way with real benefits but real responsibiltys which also includes your character out side the club . Like the first time you fuck somebody on a transaction your gone . I dont care if people say this want work i can do it and you will have to have character to start off with just to be in it . So if you hustle people to support your honda habit dont even bother asking simple as that. If there is only ten of us grilling out on the weekend then thats cool with me . Its kinda like the boy scouts you will learn alot even how to be a decent fucking person or you will get the fuck out its real simple .If that bothers you then you wasnt good enough to be in it to start off with . Sorry if i sound like a dick but i cant waste my time helping you come up in life while your out there living off of other people by screwing who ever you can to get what you want. Dont worry i dont have a power trip everything can be voted on its not hard to tell right from wrong when its in front of your face and your called out on it.
