I just switched over to an AOD. I wanted to retain overdrive, so it was really the only option. It eats up a ton of power, but that is a sacrifice that I decided was worth it.
Higher stalls usually result in faster times, but make it more aggravating on the street. I decided not to go with a high stall, but still went non-lockup.
A good valve body is a must. I went with one that still works normally in auto, but allws for good manual shifting, with reverse lockout, and ratcheting to keep me in the correct gear.
My new transmission setup is very streetable.
I'm still dealing with cooling issues, so I'm working on that now. My front bumper seems to be blocking too much air.
Listen to this guy, he knows his shit And i was gonna say the front bumper on all the mustangs are pretty shitty when it comes to airflow, now add in a 3.5" intercooler in front of your radiator lol

ps david change the freaking picture in your sig!!!

I'm getting ready to change the whole car up - then I will update the sig.
My FMIC seems to be blocking too much, so I'm going to pull it off. Might go with the AEM methanol injection kit, or the Vortech aftercooler. My air temps are almost 200 degrees, and my coolant is close to 220 now. I can't run the car until I get some airflow.
BTW - I'm putting on a Donathen bumper support - allows a lot more airflow. You might be interested in one also. Kurgan keeps them in stock.
