It will be interesting to see this same argument in another 2 or 3 years. think about a few things. Bs came mostly in integras and CRVs, and a few del sol vtecs and SIs, nothing else. Hs came in preludes and some accords over seas. Ks can come in a civic, rsx, accord, element, crv, tsx... there are millions of them in the world, far outnumbering Bs or Hs. Eventually I think they will become just as cheap as Bs or Hs. There are also more variations of Ks than the other motors, so there are tons of OEM parts to choose from.

K swaps can be done fairly cheap. not B or H cheap, but not much further off. Basically if you don't do K pro and like to do things yourself.

Base model RSX axles, fab up your own shifter mount, get a cheapo header, run a few wires yourself, do your own fuel line setup... it really isn't that expensive. I bet a K20A2 w/ 6spd could be swapped into a car for 4k everything included. Sure that is still more expensive than others but not bad I think to have a ~200whp completely reliable swap that can be built upon for a couple thousand more to easily make 230whp.

Ks are also great on maintenance. no distributor BS, super easy to work on. water pump and thermostat, all sensors, pulleys, etc. are very accessible. It really is a pleasure to wrench on those things. Every time I have to wrench on a B I get mad because it's all in the wrong place. bending over the car to work around the intake manifold. bleh.

Just had to add that in... Bobby maybe if you're hanging out with those guys you can wrench on a K swap a bit and I bet you'll understand what I'm saying!

O trust me I know... It's the parts to make it all work that cost!! And your right on the nose with 4K, I could do a swap that cheap.. But compare what I listed, I have 2 cars right now with ITR's.. Both of which I have less than 4K in for everything out the door..

    If I run into a k24a2 cheap then it's game on!!...LOL

Now there are other options like a3 to a2 head/ valve tran swap, etc.. But add mounts, Kpro, or Emobile-bypass, harness and cost goes up!!

If I was single, with no son well I'd sell what I have and buy all the shit.. But wife needed four door and truck eats me up in gas, so I built coupe for DD.. Red bubble needs a refresh and the EF i just ran across.. Just a matter of time and the Prices will come down, or I'll find a deal and the build will began.. Never said I would not do it, just takes much more cash than I have to play with..
