bottom end is making a light tap at idle, not sure what it is. Can't be a rod bearing because my oil pressure is normal. Could be a noisy engine but I need to have it looked at.

Unless you plan on dumping just gobs of money into the 2v just go ahead and A) Keep it stock B) Spray it. Building a na 2v costs a lot with little in return.

japan I know what ur talkin about my 03 did that they didn't revise the heads til 04 but top of the motor is quiet. But at the bottom under the driver side you can hear a faint knock or tap my motor runs fine but I figure it's a time bomb waiting to go off

I told you - I can put you in an 11 sec DD when you are ready to buy. $16K and you are good to go.

If I was going to buy another Mustang though I would only consider the 2011 models. Base auto GT is in the 12's - all stock. Base auto V6 is 14's all stock, and with a Bama tune only, in the 13's.
GT is about $30K, and V6 is about $21K.
