He could get the kit and bolt it on. Building a motor, making a custom kit, etc, would require a lot more money, and would require a lot more supporting mods, like fuel system, transmission upgrade, etc. The Vortech kit is attainable with most of what he currently has.
I have a Buick that I like to use for a daily. Very comfortable, automatic, great on the highway. I usually prefer to drive it around. If you're going to have a car that you work on, that's the way to go. I used to daily the foxbody, and still could, but I like having an auto car. The Impala is an auto, and I used to daily it, but a hopper is just too rough - especially without A/C.

that kit is 4,200 for the baby kit, my car was 2k for the whole stroker kit, 1k for heads, and prob another 1k in clutch, injectors, etc, but for convenience he should do a procharger kit, with some internal work and such a pully change would yield some nice power for sure...soooo chris get on it but a procharger or vortech

Darkstar how much power does your teggy have

I like bothe the vortech and procharegers but nitrous is more affordable for me right now.
Nitrous 3Valve Mustang GT
Ok, lets look at the nitrous option.
A 100 shot would get you up to about 360 hp, and 360-370 tq - good for about 1 second off your ET.
You will need a wet shot kit, plus an upgraded fuel pump. Don't forget that you really should invest in a bottle heater, bottle blanket, fuel pressure safety switch, window switch, etc. Don't forget to buy an extra plastic intake if you still have one and be ready to swap it out. The stock intake is bad about puddling, and has a low plenum floor. A wet kit can leave too much fuel at the bottom of it, and will blow.
Don't forget to run a 1-step colder plug, and tighten the gap some - probably .035 or so.
You might need to consider some type of ignition box also, not sure how your 2valve is setup.
If I was going to get a kit for a 2-valve, this would be what I would start with as a base:
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ils.php?id=950
Then add this kit:
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ls.php?id=1357
Bottle opener: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/product-details.php?id=76
Bottle blanket: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ils.php?id=326
Window Switch: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ils.php?id=640
Purge: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/produc...ils.php?id=253
Total Retail Price: $1812 - and a Walbro 255lph fuel pump should run you another $100.
If you don't like NX, Harris Speed Works offers a plate kit for 2 valves also, http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/prod...&cat=91&page=1. You will want a plate kit.
Another good option is the Nitrous Outlet kit: http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...6&product=3989

you could do that or look around and find a gently used centrifugal supercharger and buy it...either way still lookin at a good bit of money, nos isnt just plug and spray like most think...you forgot a tune davidi personally would just save and do a 4v swap
orrrrr just get this!!!!

That's my point. It's not just cut-and-dry. I happen to have a full kit like the one that I listed. I've run nitrous, turbos, and s/c's.
He should go with the 4v motor - he always said that he wanted to do it NA - no power adders. When he is done spending $10K to make 350rwhp, I'll drag him with a stock GTO...![]()

I choose to sit on the sidelines most of the time, i dont race for money all the time, thats the least of my worries when driving my car out there. Id rather have a fun run than to run for money. I love the sport and i love the adreniline rush. If you build a car to only do money runs, you wont get very far.
Yes you do
Only around 400ish, still on a baby turbo...why you ask?

i was wondering because everyone talks about your car and how fast it is. i got a dc with a turbo h22. i made around 420+ whp. How much does your car weight with you in it. i got my down to 2450 with me in it, but i still have heat in it.

A lot of brain cell destroying conversation in here. Mostly coming from the same peson's fingertips.
Joey, car looks good. If I can make it down to ImportShowdown I am looking forward to seeing it run. You going to shoot for 10's this go? I think you should be able to hit high 10's honestly.
Back to being stock and slow
i got the same turbo you got a garrett t57. i love the tq this turbo makes. i have traction problems in 3 gear with bf drag radials on 205 50 15.The car runs really strong, i lost to a camaro with 450 rwhp by a fender, but i was only on 10 psi around 280whp from a roll. By no means it is fast. i was wondering how fast your car was because everyone talks about your car. i am not calling you out or saying that my car can beat yours. i am trying to make 700 whp this year. i thing of using a f22 tranny in instead of m2b4. it was tuned at mainstream last year by scotty.
H22Turbo DC4 from a roll
your car weights is 2400 with you in it. my weight with me in it is 2450 with out any abs,no front or rear bumper reinforcements, no rear shield wiper, no back seats, no rear interior panels, no antena, one stock integra seat driver side, no air bags. i don't even put a front bumper on it because of weight lol . The h22 with tranny only weights 80 pounds more over a b. how much do you weigh. i weigh 160 pounds. My scale must be wrong. or do you have a rs
