    Default Why no mountain/autox challenges

Why is it that all the call outs, shit talking on this fourm consists of rolling runs, or runs from a dig??? Why not call someone out on a race that actually demands some talent/experience/effort/ect....!!!!!! Who cares how much power your car is making or how much you've spent on the motor!!! Bring it to the mountain/track where it really counts!!!!

I guess this is a callout/invite to a mountain run. I have a" fairly stock" 4dr Integra, and welcome anyone willing to come challenge me to run up blood mountain, up 180, down 180, and back down blood mountain!!

So let's hear all the b/s and fourm Nazis talk shit.

Even at the track it doesnt count. None of this racing matters that we do, it's just to kill some time. If I race someone and win, what did i acomplish, NOTHING. Probably, possible few tickets from cops. And what do you accomplish at the track, woohooo I ran 10 seconds flat today at 1/4 mile. Umm okey, good for you. What did you a get from it, nothing. It only matters if YOU get PAID for racing that car.

I wouldn't say you'd get nothing out of it. If you had fun and/or learned new techniques (or anything new) then that's a mission accomplished IMO.
It shouldn't always be about money/winning.

To the OP, I'd be down for a mountain run. You lead though, because I've never been to blood mountain. lol

Fuck a drag race!!!!! Who cares if your getting paid or not. What I'm trying to say is actually "race your car . What diff does it make if your making money racing or not??? I'm guessing your one of the shit talkers on here got milk??? This thread was for someone willing to go on a mountain run, which consists of turns, and down shifting, and braking and all that stuff you prob have never done in a "race"

Let me guess. You're one of those kids who went to a mountain run ONCe in your life time, and now you're big bad dog, ehh? gtfo. But yeah, if you wanna do few fun runs on the mountain I'll also join in, you lead.

No, I've ran the mountain a few times, and can hold my own. I wouldn't start this thread and challenge ppl if I only did it once. I dnt want reckless ppl trying to be tough shit and uphold thier "IA" image if they dnt know what they are doing. Safety is always first. But Im tired of seein highway runs, and bullshit call outs!!!! I will lead, up blood mountain for $50. If your on my ass the whole time, then I give you $50: we go to 180. Whoever can lead, and same goes for that. I would preferably lead and if you keep up, the. I'll give you another $50. Go back down 180, and so on and so on. Shit talkers welcome, but I would prefer you just put your money where your mouth is.

........and I got a buddy that's not a member who drifts and he has the same offer on the table for you so call "drifters"!

Well I wouldn't call'em bullshit callouts. The description of the KF is "the 12 seconds or faster club." And when people talk about a "12 second car" they're usually referring to their quarter mile time, not their lap time. So if you don't like drag racing, go join some SCCA forum.

Anyway, I don't do money runs but I'd be down for a fun run. And if by 180 you mean Suches, I remember making the trip up there and it was a good workout by itself, so we can skip Blood Mountain. We can do either or.

lol kid, You talk big, but got nothing behind you to prove your claims. You got a 4 door teg, I would rape you on a mountain run. Only reason I wouldn't do competitive mountain run is because I never know if u gonna run me off the road, or if im gonna slam into on coming traffic. You have fun, and like stated above, KF is for 12 second or faster. Don't like it don't post here.

Just wondering (not shit talking), but since "safety is always first," is this going to be a closed road course with proper personnel in place or a free-spirited run with traffic on-coming and with you?

Again, I'm not instigating, but wondering. Later, QD.

those are some fun roads to run on up there. truthfully though i would rather run them by myself or with someone i already know. not from someone "calling out people on the internet to make a quick 50$" perfect recipe for a wreck waiting to happen. this isnt Initial D, this is the real world. but since you think the way you do, how am i to know your not so "wraped up in this shit dog" that you wouldnt try and pull some run me off the road BS like you "had saw" on initial D?

We hit the mountain yesterday and it was a great run. To everyone posting, it is as controlled as you make it. QD, it is dangerous, but when I said safety if first, I just meant stay within your boundaries, and know your limit. There is the occational traffic, and we respect them and only pass when it is suitable, and we always stay in our own lane when around blind corners. We are not reckless fools like most if you guys think.

.....and to all the shit talkers saying I have a slow car and that you would rape me on the mountain, please come out and join us. All bullshit aside, this is just a fun get away for me. My integra has a b20 swap with extensive susp mods, and some bolt ons and itsnot a slouch whatsoever. I've left many 2sk's, a e46 m3, and many miatas. I just would like to have some more "fast" cars and experienced drivers to compete with. Ive always lead and dnt mind leading anytime. I know these roads very well.

SO you want people to come and compete with you on a mountain run with traffic on it? lolol

Kid, if you want to do mountain runs and compete, Find a mountain with zero, that means no traffic, nobody but you and you buddies on that mountain to run.

"There is the occational traffic, and we respect them and only pass when it is suitable, and we always stay in our own lane when around blind corners."

How exactly are you expecting to compete with the occasional traffic there? Just doesn't add up to me at all.

We go in the evenings on week days "kid". No traffic at all on 180. Maybe 2 cars while going up the mountain. Please find me a mountain with "zero" traffic and I would love to relocate.

    4uh8ers,
I used to go up to mtns constantly. I lived a lot closer to them in the past. 20 years ago, yes, it was reasonably safe for us to run up there. You didn't have to worry about other cars, and would see zero traffic. You did have to watch for deer, and the occassional bear. Motorcycles were hardly up there. Most of the people you saw up ther, you either knew, or they were local.
All of that started to change in the late 90s. More people built houses and communities up there, and locals started complaining about speeding. Traffic increased, and that brought more law enforcement in. I finally stopped taking my RX7 up there, when they started setting up roadblocks.

Nowadays, I only take my bike up there - I ride much slower than I used to drive up there. I can tell you without a shadow of doubt, that you cannot safely have a competition up there now. There is just too much traffic in that area, and its not worth the risk. If you go farther up, there are still a few dead end mtn roads that you can block off and run on. Most are fairly short, but that is the best way to limit the risk.

A safer route is to simply go to track days. Little Tally is closer than Cheaha, so you can't say that one is too far. RA is closer than Suches, so that is reasonable as well. Roebling is 4 hrs, CMP is less than 3. All of them will have ambulances on site. IF someone got hurt on 180, do you happen to know how long it takes for an ambulance to get there? I do. I've had a couple of friends crash on 180. Its much safer on the track.

I mean someone setting up a car and learning how to drive it well around some cones in a parking lot is as gay as like setting up a car to only go in a straight line...wait...what?...oh yeah neither are gay they are just both different but of course this wouldnt be any fun now if we did'nt bash things that were different now would it?
