    I never bother racing my DDs - either the Buick or the Accord. It doesn't make sense to race slow cars, when I have faster.

    If you want to run an all-motor car, run against the GTO.
    If you want to run against an all motor 4cyl, I have one also, but don't normally race it.
    No matter what you run against, you will lose. It's up to you to choose how much you want to lose by.

    I'm hoping that after you lose to the GTO, you will want to buy it......

    Last Sat night, a bunch of Honda Civic and Integra guys rolled up to the BP, and after quite a few people had already left, they started talking about how the Northside folks had nothing for their Southside "crew".
    Once a couple of us said that we could run them for some cash, they started backing out. They wouldn't even run a stock Mustang for $50 - came back with all they could do was $20. In the end, they didn't run anything, they just went home with their tails beween their legs.
    What's up with the Southside Honda guys? Are they so poor that each of them could only pitch in a dollar each?

    yes......they all want to run, but won't even annie up enough to cover the race gas I'll burn doing this............lol. I am surprised they don't run for Pesos and Arbys coupons...

    You definitely can have your choice of cars to run. Last weekend, one of the guys (yellow Mustang) was desperate enough to have a run for only $50. They still couldn't do that.

    I don't go up there a whole lot, and usually go at the last minute if I do, but there are always a few that will run. I just couldn't believe that all of them drove up, talked that they wanted to run, and every single one of them was a 15 sec or higher car - and wasn't really going to run.

    Yeah, I definitely hear ya. I work 40+ hours, Itt-tech full time at night, and am looking for more hours in the day...

    But, my car will stay slow for a while because I am broke as hell. I know it's slow so I have no problem admitting that.

    I have plenty of time to work on it....just trying to save some money up. Gonna buy a few things for the hatch this month. And hopefully next month will get some slicks for the teg.....Gonna be tunning the hatch soon, and turning up the boost on the teg finally.

    windowed the block coming out of the carousel at speed. Car olds 10 quarts of oil, headers were glowing red all day. I got probably 100 laps in, the last set was screaming fast. Blew a 12" hole at the back of the motor, oil hit headers, ignited immediately. Brakes went out, winshield caught fire, got it off the track and bailed. Luckily, we got the fire out before the fuel rail caught. The rail got burned, but never cracked.
