lol, i donno how many runs jimmy got in, i know he ran twice not against me, once against me, and once on street tires, and of course the first run kourt made driving the car right before we rolled out
btw flyingstrokes 240 is no joke....i am jealous big time of that car :goodjob:
Hell yeah watching the video as I download it, just got a good launch of Hunter02SS, with the front end about 2-3 feet in the air! :bigdance:
Well I am fucking pissed. Video fucked up, and I lost about half of what I recorded. After I edit tons of misc stuff out, I will have about a 30 minute video with about 25 minutes of racing! FUCK FUCK FUCK! I stood down in the burn out box for awhile for nothing now!
no, something fucked up in the recording. At one point the recorder starting beeping, but wasnt flashing any warnings, so I went back and rewatched the record time, and sure enough right around the time it records for about 4-5 minutes, then the time stamp skips forward about 35 minutes. So for those 35 minutes of my ass sitting down there, it did not record! :2up:
The engine was well below operating temp everytime I pulled out of the pits and the car sat long enough to let the i/c and intake cool back down. I wanted to test a few things out today and I did learn a few thing. I learned the car doesnt want 24.5 inch slicks, I need more injector at this point, I need more clamping load for the head gasket, and it is fun to make a pass on street tires(13.2 @ 126, lol) Sorry if you thought I was hot lapping:D Thanks to MCE for putting on an excellent event!
well just finished making a 33 minute video out of what I had. Got to finish publishing the file to my computer then uploading it to the internet...so hopefully in the next hour should have a link up!
nvm will have to wait till tomorrow...will need to find somewhere that I can upload a 35 minute long video thats 570mb's!
break it up in to two parts and then load it on streetfire
Komi went low 11's??? Damn!
No, but based on his passes a low 11 wouldn't be a stretch with a dialed in suspension and more seat time
well uploading the video now, seems to be ungodly slow on my end, nice 36KB up load rate, so its got another 3 hours to finish uploading! :(
Komi, it was good seeing ya again yesterday. :)
Like I said, you gotta burn those tires up! Glad to see ya break 11's and then back it up. There were a lot of people on the sidelines that were curious about your car, hahahaha.
had a great time yesterday. it was nice meeting evil goat and jj. can't wait for next season. hopefully i will be on a race gas tune with a small shot of nitrous. ;)
oh and also thanks for letting me borrow your air pressure gauge and air. :D
No problem! Hope to see you guys soon!
^^ btw, damn you and your 2400 lb car lol. amazing what power to weight can accomplish. sorry to hear about your hg. at least its winter so you won't be missing much at all.
are there any pics from this event...and i want to see zens evo/sonny : )
where is the video
in the thread that says mce day vid
im a dumb ass my bad
I have lifted the head a couple of times as I tend to push my own personal setup too far to see what works and what doesnt. That way I can do things for my customers a lot better. My boost went up higher than it has before due to me turning it up and where we set it on the dyno it was a couple of lbs lower at the same duty cycle. It was hotter then and a dyno loads it a little different than the real world. Plus the two passes earlier that day were on different size tires and that has an effect on it as well. It was bumping the boost cut at 28 which my timing is probably a little high there especially since I havent tuned it there, yet. The thing was pulling STRONG so I would like to fix it and see what happens at the track. Drove the car home with no issues. Hope I can do something in the next two weeks so we can go back out on the 5th.
Well that excess boost will go SOMEWHERE is my point. If the head isn't lifting then I'd prob keep the studs u have... that's a "fuse" that allows a cheap escape (new hg, and new oem studs) route for boost pressure. If you toss the new studs in, excess boost WILL find the quickest way out if needed - that could end up being a bad thing. :)
Thats why I like the d-series. If there is any sign of trouble... they just pop the headgasket.
Ive put 3 hg on my car tryin to push is too far, and the worst that has happened is the HG. I think that if mine was tuned to where I was tryin to push it before, it would still be on the first one though.
^^ Exactly. But if you button up that escape route w/ some serious studs -- you potentially expose a new weak point. Could be as simple as a coupling/v-clamp, or as extreme as a hole in the side of the block. :)
Oh well, I have another block sitting there waiting on this one to give up, haha!:ninja:
