I just think he is bashing the wrong shop, catlground had the car for 1 hour, while inline pro had it for 365 days
2006 Evo IX - Bolt ons
About damn time someone posted a thread praising a shop, and not bashing them. From what I have seen, BG seems like a good shop.
They took the VTEC off of my car w/out telling me. Never going there again. I needed that shit on the way home.

Lurker thats BS....Btstone isnt driving a turbod honda..he does own one tho
slower than you
LOL. all i did was let him know he wasnt the only one that had money. he was trying to put my boy down so i stepped in and let him know i could step on him if i wanted. no bragging, i just let him know what was up. money doesnt make you, it could be gone tomorrow. so find some new quotes there, no one is mad. i def dont need a hug from a dumb ass
OH. Glides a dumb ass? Uh oh. His tongue is sharper than mine. I see this gettin ugly now.
I think what happened was for the best. We don't want to have to deal with noobs who don't understand that Rotaries have backfiring issues. When they are that uninformed, it's only downhill from there and there just isn't much time at our shop for people like that. That's why when Dan tested your Vtec with the meter and it didn't trigger, he said lata, we didn't build the car. Rather than charging you for ALL of the time he looked at your car, he charged you the minimum and sent you on your way. I think that was pretty nice.
So now that that's out of the way, I am going to offer an olive branch for the first and last time. I'm trying to be nice here. No one ripped you off. No one hurt your car. You're just being silly, really. But I am totally one to get silly, too, so if you're having fun, then so am I. It's up to you.

thats what you dont understand. you keep posting and you have no clue. when my vtec was tested it did trigger. everything was working, except the tune. im not mad about the money, You keep bringing that up. I was upset because i wasted my time taking it up there and was told he was the shit and blah blah and i was let down. as a customer it sucks. you keep trying to defend your business, which is fine, but you obviously dont know fact or you are getting told worng info.
PS- why the fuck would it matter if i know how a rotory works? i will never own one or drive one. they fucking suck. and i also have never known anyone with a rotory to set the bumper on fire but the guy that has his car tuned by yall. but i have heard many complaints about his tunes. so it doesnt matter. its over and done. stop bringing up old shit tracy. the only time i ever bring this shit is up is when someone else does, then you keep dragging dumb shit in the thread
Bro, you need to let it go. You keep bringing it up. I would have no idea about your car or the rotary if you never said anything here about it. If I see you bring it up again, I'm calling you on it—mostly because YOU just said to drop it. AND I will recall this post. So, I'm going to leave it alone from here on out, but like I said, best believe, if I see you mention it again, then it will start right back up. We'll see soon enough who can't let it go and it ain't me.
Well. My 340 wheel hp FD melted a nice portion of the paint off of the bumber after some very spirited driving up on the Dragons Tail. It happens. EVERYONE knows Rotaries are the kings of tail pipe flames. Your friend didn't and blamed the tune. It's not the tune, it's the motor. If you notice, most put the end of the pipe a good bit past the bumper so that sort of thing doesn't happen. Specially with bigger and freer flowing exhausts on them.
Batlground tuned my Squirt on my Corolla up there. Not a single problem. You keep saying that you have heard many complaints about his tunes but it seems the only one I see complaining is you. Perhaps your can get your friends (Imaginary ones do not count..tsk tsk) and have them come here and tell their own personal horror stories about their tunes. Because we all know how the Jailhouse Grapevine likes to distort things. Just watch Johnny Dangerously. But just remember, you called everyone defending Dan...what was it...oh yea. "Nut Swingers". So if your friends come up here and defend what you are saying, does that make them "Nut Swingers" as well? And yea .....they lost a customer, but honestly, if this is what they can expect from you.....I don't think it's gonna hurt them all that much.
Until then, it's a He said, She said and then He yelled, sort of argument. You had a bad experience there, well that stinks! I can agree and attest to having bad experiences and boy let me tell you, I wanted to rush out and tell everyone that me and all my friends had a shit time there and don't ever go there again and believe you me, I wanted to write 35 posts on an internet forum, call people names and curse and just generally run amock.
But I didn't.![]()

well, all i did was post my bad expeirance ALONG time ago and ppl started bashing me saying crazy stuff. so thats where all the insults came. i simply posted a bad experience and all thr "nut swingers" started swinging and insulted me so did my usual knock out and that was that. i didnt care about the 150$ or what ever he charged me. i am a concumer. i wanted a tune. He was the man. he didnt deliver. simple as that. thats all i said. i got insulted so i started to join the monkey and throw shit back. i think the shop my car is at would think im a very good customer. if i am done right then i will rep that shop tremendously. i felt i was let down. i told my experiance and look how it got blown out of proportion.

You want to run a local rotary? I'll set it up if you're interested.
PS: That was a stand-up thing man for Tracy to extend an olive branch man. BG and MSPi and every1 that knows me will tell you that most of my shit comes from other states. But mantenance, parts and tuning is a Godsend to get locally man. Don't burn your local bridges man - let by-gones be bygones. It's really okay to be a big boy and start over. Yeah you can't start from the beginning, but you can def start from where you left off. Just my .02. No1 in GA is out to hurt you or rock your world, you're not that important to the local scene to have a target on your back yet. Also no1 @ BG or MSPi will accept your car if they don't think they can help you - they are ALL good people at those shops man FYI. Don't let a woman be a bigger man than you man - that's not sexy.

Again I know how vtec works and I was there with dan.
Solenoid had power
oil pressure was over 60 psi
speedo was working
ect was normal
aem was switching into vtec but the car wasn't
I know for a fact all that was done and tested. I refuse to believe that dan Brandon and me could do all that then you take it to inline pro and everything is perfect
your timeline is off too
but like I said it's cool I wouldn't hold a grudge against bg they did nothing wrong

Btstone your vtec was NOT triggering. Read post above

Way vtec works (I'm not talking down more like talking out loud)
oil pressure must be over 55 psi
engine coolant temp must be over 140'f. Iirc
speedo must operate (vss signal)
solenoid must get 12 volt signal
If all those work car will hit vtec. Basically aem reads all those factors then tells the solenoid to open at 55psi and xxxx rpm to switch into vtec. Oil pressure basically gets released when the solenoid opens down rocker shafts that move pins into position to lock in the vtec lobe on the cam. Yours wasn't doing that.
yOur car wouldn't switch at all. Even though all the above was working. We put a constant 12 volt to you solenoid to get it to manually open it clicked meanig the solenoid was working. Aem was switching from lo cam to high cam so aem was fine. Oil pressure was fine
that means there was something mechanical not operating. Like the vtec rocker arm/pins . At that point I told you I didn't know enough about s2000 heads to know what activated like a b series. B series is rocker arm driven wih pins s2000 and k series is roller rocker. At least I was honest but like I said it was definetly mechanical.
If that mechanical problem fixes itself I agree weird but not the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I don't think you got ripped off I think it was just something that We diagnosed , didn't find the problem in an hour and you left

The timeline seems off to me but I'm sure you can fill me in and correct me
car goes to topspeed, vtec issues
car goes to batlground, vtec issues
I see you a year later at mainstream/turbodave car hits vtec blows headgasket
then you went to inline pro.
Are you telling me after batlground and before mainstream/turbodave you went to inline pro with nothing changed as it left bg andit hit vtec? Then why take it to turbodave ?
Never made sense to me.

no. i took it to INline pro right after battle ground and put down 470whp. a year later i had changed turbos and and turbo kits and didnt wanna go all the way back to DC to get the car tuned. so ppl told me turbo dave could do it....which he fucked my stuff up. so i had to take it back to inline pro where i put down 650whp on the stock motor. now its totally diff again and i had only 1 option....take it to inline pro because i have no faith in any of the shops in ATL...no offense

Correct. I'm flattered so many call and disrupt business on the account of me.
But yes. As soon as got to inline pro. The tuner started asking me questions about the car. He asked me what size my injectors were. I told him 675. He looked and immediately said that they weren't 675. He took them out and looked on them and indeed he was correct. So they switched them out with tje correct ones. If he could notice by just questions and looking over the car, how come no other tuner could? That's what upset me most. One tuner did that by just looking. Is he that good? I don't know. I can't tune cars

well i was supposed to have high impedence 675cc injectors. somehow my package got swapped up and i got sent 880cc low impedence injectors. so when they hit vtec they would not work due to voltage going to injectors. thats what i was told. but like i said. their tuner notcied by just looking at the car before he tuned...
Mike, you don't have to believe it, but it's the truth. If you tune with no resistor box, it's possible that the entire car may SEEM tuned, but the tune will change, and if you leave the ECU in there like that, it'll eventually fry the ECU. I've seen this done before on Kitt's RB powered 240, as he blew up like 3 ECU's before it was diagnosed (wrong impedance on the injectors). Oh and AEM Gen 2 can use sequential fire, but Gen 1 boxes are wasted spark, although that has nothing to do with Stone's car.
Bstone, you paid for TUNING on your car. When a car comes in and asks for tuning, you expect that everything is buttoned up, and is mechanically correct. When it's not, which is often the case, additional time to diagnose the problem(s) is required. It absolutely would have been figured out if you would have wanted to pay to get the problem figured out, but since you didn't and wanted to go somewhere else, Inline Pro figured it out. That's ok too though, as that's your choice to make, but it definitely isn't because someone at the shop didn't have the knowledge to figure it out. In the end, it's fine though. You went to IP, and are happy with what you got. It's just when you say it was because Dan can't tune, that's not accurate at all, as it wasn't his tune that was the problem. Like I siad though, it works out either way. You got what you wanted in the end. Just gotta make sure the truth is told about what was wrong. Oh, and no one called to ask them what happened. They volunteered the info as it came up in a passing conversation that Dan had with them. He's good friends with the guys at IP.
