Default dont you love finding these at bottom of oil pan

so when i was drifting after my runs i kept hearing a ticking noise from up top. as the oil pressure built back up it was find so i thought to my self somethings wrong. i took the valve cover off and nothing felt/looked out the ordinary. so i had to do an oil change anyway. i drained the oil looking for shavings. nothing so my oil pan gasket had been leaking so i decided to reseal it and dent the oil pan out ward to hold more oil. when i took it off i found this.

time to upgrade to the s14 one.

Is the pickup just a press fit or is it welded on?

Dont blame you there. If the new one comes with a press fit pickup, make sure to take it somewhere and have it welded. I've seen a few small block Chebbies come off like that before and welding them just about gaurantees it wont happen again.

You are lucky dude. To get the oil pan off a mustang you have to drop the entire k-member.
