Well Yes it is my first young one. And when we got there I took it as serious since my g/f is a nurse and was freaking out also (More of the account she was vomiting also). They put us Ahead of what must of been 20+ people there and would not let us leave until all the work... Strip test, flu test, and they even wanted to keep her overnight. But we opted to see if the antibiotics they were going to prescribe would fix the problem first. I'm glad we did not let them keep her. I just don't think I could of took my little girl being put on IV's and all that stuff. On a better note she seems a little better now thank god But has to take meds every four hours.

Also she was not urinating it seems... I just don't like to see her like that when she is always so cheerful ya know. But thanks for a reply with some sense!!

I had to watch them do a spinal tap on my daughter when she was 3 months old and then another spinal tap 2 weeks later. They thought she had bacterial menengitis because the soft spot on the top of her head was swollen and pulsating like a heart, plus she was running a 108.9 fever. Luckily it was viral menengitis, but they kept her in the hospital for 3 days.

Watching your child get an IV sucks, but watching them stick a gigantic needle in her spinal cord to draw fluid was torture. I couldn't take it and had to walk out of the room. It brought tears to my eyes seeing my 3 month old scream that loud in agony. They had to hold her so still that the 3 nurses holding her put bruises all over her body from pinning her to the table so she wouldn't move.

I'm glad your little one is feeling better. It's a learning experience every day.
