Sorry to hear about your problems man. The word truck in the title caught my eye. Assholes are everywhere, we gotta get used to them.

Just curious, why were you rushing your 2 year old to the "ER" when a 105 deg fever is common? Is this your first kid?

My 2 year old daughter has ran numerous 106-108+ deg fevers and the doctor always tells us to alternate between childrens tylonol and Childrens motrin every 3 hours. It normally drops/controls the fever in the low 100 range until she breaks the fever. You have to wake up throughout the night to give the medicine or the fever will spike again after the dose wears off so set your alarm.

Keep him/her well hydrated with Pedialite(apple/grape) and check for wet diapers. If the diapers aren't wet, then get worried. Worst case scenerio is if they aren't being hydrated they will put an IV in until the fever is controllable. I've been through all this with my daughter, lol.

Kids don't normally have an appetite while running fevers either so don't get worried if they don't want to eat, it's also normal. They will eat eventually, maybe 2-3 days later. Keeping fluids in them is the most important thing.

You might know all this already, but if you don't I hope you don't take my advice the wrong way. Just one dad to another.

Well Yes it is my first young one. And when we got there I took it as serious since my g/f is a nurse and was freaking out also (More of the account she was vomiting also). They put us Ahead of what must of been 20+ people there and would not let us leave until all the work... Strip test, flu test, and they even wanted to keep her overnight. But we opted to see if the antibiotics they were going to prescribe would fix the problem first. I'm glad we did not let them keep her. I just don't think I could of took my little girl being put on IV's and all that stuff. On a better note she seems a little better now thank god But has to take meds every four hours.

Also she was not urinating it seems... I just don't like to see her like that when she is always so cheerful ya know. But thanks for a reply with some sense!!

Some people just look for that shit. For example, I was on the way to meet a shop owner on Friday around 7pm. I was on I-75 north and was behind a Mazda 3...stock. We were in the far right lane going about 65 or so. Another lane to the right was added from the last exit and it has a good 1/4+ mile before it merges. Since there were cars to the left of me, I got over in the right lane (in my own lane) and speed up a little to pass this Mazda 3. I was well past him and started to merge and dude was up on my ass honking his horn. Now, I went up to about 85mph for the pass and for some reason he increased speed also even though he has been going the same speed for well over a mile. I got in front of him anyway. He switches lanes so I jump behind him and follow every lane change he does (at normal speed) and he starts to freak out. Then I exited on my desired exit. My point is why go out of your way to prevent me from merging when if I wanted, I could dust his car.

I had to watch them do a spinal tap on my daughter when she was 3 months old and then another spinal tap 2 weeks later. They thought she had bacterial menengitis because the soft spot on the top of her head was swollen and pulsating like a heart, plus she was running a 108.9 fever. Luckily it was viral menengitis, but they kept her in the hospital for 3 days.

Watching your child get an IV sucks, but watching them stick a gigantic needle in her spinal cord to draw fluid was torture. I couldn't take it and had to walk out of the room. It brought tears to my eyes seeing my 3 month old scream that loud in agony. They had to hold her so still that the 3 nurses holding her put bruises all over her body from pinning her to the table so she wouldn't move.

I'm glad your little one is feeling better. It's a learning experience every day.

Maybe I jumped the gun and got a little ill and pissed at the guy. But nothing will come before the heath of my family.. Exp when I'm freaking out over my first born ya know
