    Default Street Tires FTMFL!!!!

Going back in a few weeks with some tire... apparently from what im hearing the MPH is there for low 12's or better and its evident by that shitty 60ft that hooking was most def an issue...

Yeah, you cut a 1.7 60' and I think you are high 11's with some good powershifting. I don't know how to power shift that well though...Thacker was trying to show me Friday night, but I wasn't confident enough to do it at the track.

Time to hit up the message boards, Craigslist, etc and find you a wheel/tire setup!! Fuck the DRs, go straight for slicks/ET Streets!

Slicks are def best for track, but even dr's are way better than street tires.

That MPH could be good for low 12s, won't get much better than without suspension or more power.

Lol!! i ran a 13.0 on street tires at 114 mph. i suck at caculating what time i should be running at that mph and its was a couple years ago. I liked dr's though, gave me some fake whiplash action my first time out. I want some more, or slicks. but fdw and slick....yeah, you already know the risk.

Its not street tires that are your problem. Its 245mm width. If you throw some 275-85 to ride on the street they would hook a lot better. I bought some today!

That actually wasn't so much the case with my car. It spun 'em just as easily with 275's as it did with 245's. I'm not saying that a wider tire won't help, but you have to get a wheel who's profile compliments the tire size. 275's on a wheel designed for 245's is pretty much pissing away money.
