Default Steele on the 22nd or SDR on the 21st?

Trying to get a feel on where people would like to go. I'm down to go where ever, but I think Steele will be the best bet for the most passes. It is about the same distance to Steele from Atlanta as it is to SDR I believe.

Whoever wants to go improve their times, chime in!!

Only place to figure out that launch is at the track. I'm thinking I'm leaning towards Steele on Sunday the 22nd.

im planing on going out again this month but im not sure when and where, if there are alot of people going i wont be. saturday was straight bullshit. its a waste of time and money to me if i dont get atleast 10+ passes in. i like to race, not sit in the staging lanes for 2 hours.

I feel you. Everyone always says Steele is never crowded and moves pretty quick, but track prep is sometimes questionable. I'd like to go try it out though.

if its on a sunday, then i think its a test and tune day for steele.
just hope they prepped the track well from the night before, cause depending on how busy it was the night before, depends on how much shit is gonna be on the track(i.e-leaking fluids from other cars)

Yeah, but I think we will get more passes at Steele. Steele is about the same time as SDR from Atlanta I believe.

I need a nice cool down between runs and SDR has nice track prep. I doubt it will be as crowded next time so I vote for SDR 21st... I also like to have a chill day before the work week starts again

Maybe if we get there earlier and swap tires before they actually open the track we can get a lot more runs in

LOL, I was leaning towards Steele because my days off are Monday and Tuesday...so I was in the same boat as you as wanting to be off after the track. Shit is tiring.

We can do SDR on the 21st. I doubt it will be as crowded too. I'm going to go ahead and request off for the 21st even if you guys cancel on me!!

^^ agree with sicstang (PS: I never got to come introduce myself) and aaron the only reason SDR has been hella crownded the last two times we went was the 1st time was the MCE track day and saturday was opening test and tune... they said over the mic there on Saturday that usually there are a total of about 50 cars on a usual saturday.

Has anybody ever thought of renting out SDR. I think its like $1200 and we could cap it at 20-30 people

No canceling here either ... I hope to beat a certain white cobra with a lot less mods too .. i did win 2 out of 3 if that counts

I'm down for a track rental too. $1200 isn't bad. we could get 40-50 cars and still get plenty of runs in and it would only be about 30 per person.

but is there a way to make a list of people allowed in? That would be awesome.

We could have one person take the money via paypal and have them handle it. Once payment is received you're on the list and cap it at 50

P.S. I look forward to meeting you as well since it didn't happen this time

Good, I'd love to cruise down with 5-10 cars.

Hahaha, I think you will if you get a good launch and perfect the shifts! Practice practice practice. Why do you think I want to go back so soon!

I'd vote for Steele. They've got Test and Tune on Saturdays and Sundays until April I believe. Also, you pass by the Golden Rule on the way. "Best BBQ in the South" and they mean it! With out a doubt it won't be crowded. I ran 25 times in my CR-X and I sat out more than half of the time I was there. Like SDR though, they favor the bikes. Its not a big deal though.

If I've got the money I may use it for a test run before the 28th.

Sunday would be better for me. Saturdays are my money days, which is why I didn't make it this past weekend. Also, never been to Steele. Wouldn't mind trying it.

I'll probably make a decision that Friday... Wherever it's gonna be less crowded.

I'm up for a track rental, though. Put me on the list.

Trevor try to put something together on MCE for a track rental... we will bring the leftovers here for payment. Cap it at 50 or so, and maybe set the date for a day when it starts getting slightly warmer?
