Default Video - 996TT Ripping the Drag Strip

Bondurant Driving School instructor and Modified Magazine columnist Mike Speck, reviewed our Porsche 996TT and a customers 996TT, both cars with the Agency Power 650 Turbo Kits. We met him at Firebird Raceway here in Phoenix, Arizona. Firebird was nice enough to open up the strip for us to take some runs and shoot some video. Unfortunately the tree was not on so we do not have any official times. Our GTech was out of commission, so we went for the official butt dyno review. Estimated timing with our simplistic tools was about a 120mph trap speed and a 11.5 sec run on the yellow 996TT. The blue 996TT was more like a high11 second and a 115 mph trap speed. These are very raw estimates and next time we will have our gadgets working! As you can see, the yellow VR 996TT with the 650+ kit was a “land rocket”. Running 109 unleaded and 1.4 bar of boost, screamed of anger. Our customers Lapis Blue 996TT with the 650 kit was running very safe and conservative 1.1 bar of boost on 91 octane. As well, this car once in boost screamed and was definitely impressive.

Check out the gallery of images from that test session here - http://www.vividracing.com/forums/gallery/browseimages.php?c=331

    Thumbs down

Worst video I have ever seen. Ripping the dragstrip? I can understand a soft launch but he wasnt even slamming gears down the track.

In my eyes thats a poor representation of what your shop can do.
    Just my .02

Beautiful cars but lacking on flexing their performance capabilities in this video.

Weak. First off, they arn't fast atleast compared to the bolt on 997 I posted. Second, the driver on the track just defines everything I hate about that style of "track" driving." Let's put put through the corners and go 160 on the straights.
Anyone can drive a fast car fast in a straight line, and that was just boring...
