You aren't racing on my "terms". You are simply doing a drag race from a dead stop, as has been done for decades. The only portion that should even be debatable should be the finish line.. either 1/8th or 1/4th.
The only reason you want to go from a roll is you know that POS can't hook, and that you can't drive it.
I love watching S2ks at the track... launch @ 6k... bog... takes 4 seconds when WAAAA VTechhhhhhhhhh... but they don't get any faster just a lot louder.

I ran a stock, i think, 06 6.0 6 speed on the way back from work one day. He had his g/f in the car trying to show off and be a b/a and i dusted that damn thing! I couldnt quit smiling cause i wanted a 6.0 before i bought the Z06, and i love having the Z06 over that pig! And him with his g/f in the car was icing!

Wow u r probably the dumbest person alive. Getting to the 60 ft mark is the hard part. Roll racing begins with both cars going at the same speed. Anyone can punch the gas from a roll and even if the higher horsepower car shifts slower it is a lot harder to make up the horspower difference with driver mod.have you ever realized that roll racing is the same as dig racing? once out past the 60' your doing nothing more than roll racing!

then when someone in his leadgue he knows he will lose against, he comes up with excuses to why he cant or wont run!
so what he needs to do is step his game up and start challenging cars that will give him a run! some that he's not quarented to win against!

I have to agree with both parties here...
No roll racing does not require the same skill as launching the car does, but it requires driving skill and knowing your car as well.
Thacker calls out people he knows aren't familiar with launching their car from a dig. He should honor others' callouts for roll racing, especially if there's no money on the line and if they are willing to honor his dig race. He talks **** about people who can't drive from a dig when I think he refuses to do rolls because he can't drive from a roll. He knows how to get his car moving but not pick it up from where its already in motion.
On the other hand, wasn't there a thread recently where Thacker agreed to a roll? Did that ever go down?

Drag racing is NOT REAL RACING. No matter what you think. it take NO REAL skill to become a drag racer. You need a good suspension hook and tires and lots of power. R/T is the only "skill" the driver poses. Do you see people just, going into F1, Indy, LeMans, etc...? NO! You MUST have the required skill to be able to handle an immense amount of power through corners and navigating through traffic. THAT'S SKILL.

"Street" cars don't really require any real great degree of "skill" to drive down the drag strip. Low HP cars only need to be pointed in the right direction and to get off the line. The only "skill" needed is in getting it off the line as quick as possible. In LOW hp cars, it's not that big a deal.
Now, when you start getting into cars with real HP, that's a different ball game. Not just anyone can launch a car down the strip correctly there. Suspension has to be done right, tires have to be right, car has to be tuned right, everything pretty much has to be right or you could have a bad day quick.
Too many people are trying to make more out of it than it really is.
yeah but you lied about what you have and continue to do so, saying your gto is stock. when a short shifter, drag bags, pulleys, intake, exhaust, tune and.. supposedly 371whp... but since your stock this number doesnt mean anything since you lie and talk sh!t so much... thats probably one reason you wont go from a roll.. because it will show everyone how much WHP you really have..If drag racing takes no skill, then all these cars with more HP should have owned me down the street.
