Default How to shift - Educational Video

If you do it any other way, it's wrong.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyDwB1XRcu8 - My Camaro - Old setup.

My car was 376 rwhp in this video. 315 Nitto drags. It went 11.6 @ 117 in this setup.

I was shifting OKAY in this video. Nothing really amazing like I try to pull off when theres anything important on the line. I was nailing the gears at 6400, 7k rev limiter. I shifted around 6800 normally.

Drivetrain was a spec stg 3 clutch. STOCK shifter with a fat white shift knob. 4.11 gears in a moser 12 bolt rear end. Stock suspension in this video and when it ran 11.6

The steering wheel was major off, car had a bad pull to the right under acceleration which was later fixed by some new suspension.

Diesel, I am cheap if you want lessons.

Edit: Jesus christ, watch that speedo move.

    And for comparison.

I mean you powershift....not a whole lot of skill involved.

There is not right/wrong way to drive. Everyone is different. But your right about how the driver obviously plays a huge part...But powershifting is nothing new, nor does it require skill. That takes about 5 minutes to learn to do properly. I don't see what the big deal is.

Oh yeah and not to mention its terrible for your car.....
