Default Round 2! 5.7 Tundra vs 3.0 Turbo diesel Jeep

First round was from a dig, Tundra by 3 trucks to 100mph. The Jeep was stock at the time of the first round and the Tundra had intake and cat-back exhaust.

This round will also be from a dig, the Tundra still has intake and cat-back but the Jeep now has a chip with estimated increase of 100hp and 150trq.

Winner gets a free meal of Korean BBQ.

    Vote! Mexico, here we come!

You are having way too much fun with that Tundra. When you floor it, does the gas gauge move with it too?

I get about 350 miles per tank and on Empty I put just over 22 gallons in it. If I didn't have such a heavy foot, I would get around 390 per tank. That is what one of the guys that works for me gets in his.

I believe the Jeep does a high 15 stock versus a Tundra doing a mid 14. With the chip which can typically be overrated the Tundra may still have the edge. I know about the DP programmers and stuff for that 3.0 Mercedes motor but typically on Diesels you see about a 30-70 hp bump and a 100+ torque bump. I don't think thats enough to take the Tundra even though it should have close to 500ft/lbs with 376 being standard

Money is on the Tundra. That 5.7 is a hoss. The Jeep is a small Cummins motor but its not that powerful at all.
Make sure to reset your high octane field right before you race and throw some 93 in the tank.

Boris is having issues with fuel leaks last I heard. I tried calling him but his cell wasn't working.

We will get around to it sooner or later.

What chip/intake/exhaust did you get for your tundra? I'm about ready to put something in mine, volant intake, but no idea which exhaust/chip to do. Got suggestions?

There are no chips for the Tundra yet. Don't buy one of those BS chips advertised on ebay. They are crap!

I have the AFE CAI intake and Corsa Sport cat-back. I love the sound of the Corsa!

Intake was $405 and Corsa was $799 I think.

I have a set of Ceramic coated Doug Thorley headers I haven't installed yet. They are still in the box brand spankin new if you're interested. I'll shoot you a PM.
