i've been really interested in this car for a while. what do y'all think about it? i talked to the guy, the turbo it has was taken from a skyline. one of the seals on the turbo busted or something like that, and he said it would take about a 1k to fix. i dont know tones of shit about cars, so what do y'all think about it?

8500 for a blown turbo civic that is already CLEARLY a problem for someone else will just be more problematic...take 2-3k buy a nice stock one and go to mainstream...ls swap or b20 probably be no more than 2300 and turbo setup will probably put you less or right at that 8500 and you get peice of mind knowing you didnt buy someone elses crap:cheers:

i mean, thats a great idea. the only problem is i am going to get a loan for a car. there is no way that a bank is going to give me a loan for a car, money for a new engine (is the engine already in it not working?!?!), and a turbo setup.

thats why im looking for a car already put together. although your idea would definatly be the best.

Yea the bank is not going to give you money for that car. The car is also ricetastic. Its purple with like 2 wings a fucked up ls with a "skyline" turbo. He also has stickers on the hood from his "sponsers". Look on the FS forum here and find a clean swaped car for much less. At first glace I thought the motor was a turbo zc, I was about to take a shit on this thread and laugh you out.\\

$8500 for a 15 year old riced out piece of shit double winged civic?!?!?!.... what a fucking flaming pile of shit. If you are stupid enough to even consider it, then go ahead. people like you have to drive something.... for one thing, a bank will never loan you more than $2500 on it. If you wreck it or it gets stolen, insurance will MAYBE give you $2000 for it. You can buy a 92 hatch on ebay for $2500. That leaves $6k to do the rest. $1800 for a B18A1, $800 for the homemade turbo kit, $500 for the shitty paint job, $300 on ebay for the ricer body kit. $5 for the spray paint to paint the interior. $100 for the ebay seats. $100 for the ebay CF hood. In other words, this guy MIGHT have $6500 in this car, unless, like you, he is a complete idiot.
In other words.... don't waste your money. I paid $6500 for my unmodified 97 GSR with 80k one owner miles. That is $2k less than this piece of shit and has 25 times as much potential.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA check the carfax. This car had 184k miles in 2003, then magically in 2004 it had 38k miles on it. There is an odometer fraud alert. since the odometer stops at 99,999 on those if I am correct, the car has 245k, not 45k miles.

The turbo from a skyline? lmfao... If you're going to boost a car, why would you stick a blown T-2small on there. Even a civic would spool that turbo like it was nothing. Ricer if I've ever heard of one
