Trading the Yaris for a Mazdaspeed3? (Need Feedback)

There's a black Mazdaspeed3 that I fell in love with when I drove it. I can afford it and everything, but is this really a wise decision? The insurance is suprising about the same ($30 a month diff) but the payments would jump up about $150 a month and I would be going from 3-year financing to 5-year. I can do it no problem, but still, that's a lot to consider. What would you guys do?

I like your Yaris. Its like its got its own character. A Mazdaspeed 3 would just be another Mazda. That and I remember you saying on here in that photoshop thread for your Yaris that you didn't like black cars because they were too hard to keep clean. lol

Yea, true. That's what I like about the Yaris. It's a unique little car. Makes me feel special. Also true, that while I love the black color, it would be a nightmare to keep clean.

Still, 0-60 is 4.ever isn't exactly thrilling. I went about 20% throttle on the MS3 in 2nd gear and was doing about 80. :eek:

Depends on your desires. My desire is to have a really fast/quick car, if thats yours too, then go with the Mazda. I like your Yaris, because it's not a " popular" import. You go to a meet, see 19 EVo's, 27 SRT-4's, 10 STI's, 2 million Honda's, & 7 Mutangs.lol

So, stay you. I'm wrestling with same problem on my Celica. Trade it for faster car, or finish it, & say f-it. I'm saying F-it, I'd rather be at a meet & be 1 of 2 other Celica's there, than to be just another import/popular Neon.( no offense to anyone).

I like the yaris. It's kinda funny. It's really unique. If you did a turbo or a swap it would be awesome. I say keep the Yaris for a while and dump a bunch more money into it that you will never get out of it.

Sad but true. Call it a "compact wagon" or a "sport wagon" all you want. It's still a station wagon. A fast wagon, sure, but still a station wagon.

Either way, I voted to keep the Yaris for a bit longer. Not gonna put anymore money into it though. Gonna go ahead and take care of the credit card and try to pay the Yaris off a bit more before trading it. The MS3 is still on my wish-list, I'm just gonna start saving a bit before hand. :goodjob:
