Ok have you ever wanted to stick a rag in the tank andt light it.


I am a pretty good with a honda but iam f*cking stumped.

Ok here the is what I have I got a b20 with a gsr tranny, ls intake, edlebrock 65mm tb(brand new), gsr harness for future vtecing, LS ecu, Honda n1 crank pulley, AEM alt. pulley,

Ok here is the problem as iam actcelluarating the motor bogs down like it is not getting any fuel, the tach is jumping all over the place. When i barely give it gas it is ok, but if I lay on it it bogs down tach jumps everywhere. No codes I cant figure it freaking out and it is pissing me off FUCK. :rant:

Can anyone help me or know of a good honda shop.

i dun kno if this will help, but mine bogged alot too, i have a b16a2.....i changed the pcv valve and it doesn't bog as much now, only when i try to floor it, i was suggested to change my spark plugs, also fuel injectors (? maybe) and distributor...might wanna check those out, but try the pcv valve first...hope it was a lil help

check all your grounds, thats what happened when one of my grounds went bad, or maybe a clogged cat mights cause it to bog down

Yea i changed the plugs and i have ngk plug wires new iam about to put a new cap and rotor on it here in about 10 mins

alright, go to autozone or any other place, get a new pcv valve if your car has one...i think it should, mine was clogged up bad which caused alot of the bogging

See since the tach jumps around crazy like iam thinking like RISKYB said it might be a bad ground or a dissy problem

O and i replaced the pcv as soon as i got the motor i justed rembered

where are all the grounds i know of 3 the tranny, vavle cover, and thermostate cover, any where else

I have a full kteller exhaust and a brand new magnaflow cat

You may want to change your ECU it may have been dammaged durrinug the swap you may also want to check your fuel filter and fuel pump. I had that prob once and it happened to be my fuel pump it was going bad and it could not keep up with my fuel consumption when I floored it and my RPM guage would go crazy b/c the ECU was confused about the air intake vs fuel ratio. Hope that helps!

Do the rag in the gas tank and light it thing. I think that will solve all of your problems. Just make sure you've got about a half of a tank, that way there will be plenty of fumes which are what really do the igniting.

probably misfiring... my impreza used to do that (when I had it) and it was misfiring... just check plugs, wires, cap, and might want to do a compresion test...

i know you fixed it but i'd still run stock plugs and honda wires...
