Going to New York in a few weeks...

We're going on a mini vacation to do a lot of Christmas shopping so we'll be staying in Manhattan and wanted to know of any other cool places to go. By "we're", I mean the wife. I'm going just to go.

Any suggestions on hotels, restaurants, places to go that anyone would care to recommend? Anyone with hook-ups on hotels? I'll pay for your services.

Any pizza place and Nathans Hot dogs hmmm what else it's really to cold to go to any place because everything has something to do with outside but if you can deal with the coldness just walk around every step up top is an event LOL

Dallas BBQ in the village. It's got awesome food and the people in the village are entertainment enough. Is it your first time goin to manhattan?

Just bring some money to really shop.. Hit anywhere on 34th st and 46th st around times square and your good.. There is a store by name of Conway that have a decent collection of clothes.. Its sort of like a K&G.. Any pizza joint in Manhattan is good...Cant think of any name of the top of my head.. around time square there are crazy electronic places and good clothing stores so you will definetly find what you are looking for. One thing if you plan to visit ground zero..Depending on whats going on..(i havent seen lately what they have done to it or if there are building anything at this point). You will get a really creepy feeling when you check the place out.. Its hard to explain but you will know once you get there...You dont feel a certain peace about the place (that is how I would put it).. well have a good vacation and bundle up.. The wind is burtal between buildings...

oh by the way for one night in midtown mahattan for a hotel your looking a $200+ easy..so get a deal at hotwire.com. its not goin to be cheap but it worth staying around in midtown around 34th.. The lights at night are nice..
