Shit it just hit me ramdomly how about have a "Help a Buddy Meet". Just like a regular meet, but bring some of your tools along or post up on the thread wat y'all need to get done and see if someone is willing to help. The way i am thinking...Meet up (if we have a volunteer shop that will be great or a big parking lot) during daytime (day time temps are getting bttr now)...get to know each other and see who can help who. I am not talking about chaning a whole transmission or swaps (not so big) or doing oil changes (not so small). I think it will be a good way to meet everyone, get wat u need to get done, and i think it will be something positive like people will actually look forward to come to. Also a good way for shops to get the crowd in...aka..advertisement. Well people give me some inputs and if shops are interested in hosting it...PM me. If not i'll find a place...get permission and set a date. Once confirmend...i'll post up info.

i mean shop won't loan out any tools....ppl would have to bring their own. I guess all the shop has to do is make a verbal announcement that everyone liable for themself.

The shop would be losing business though if people were getting their work done for free.

tis true. but if people knew the shop and got to know the people there, they could get references..

true hence the idea no major work plus they will be able to assit and show what the shop is capable of doing. I am pretty sure the shop doesn't charge for knowledge. All the shop has to do is "this and this can be done to you car...and we'll be more than happy to assit you. If someone can't fix or do something at the meet...shop will be right there to do it. I am sure a shop won't mind loosing lil change a day (or few hours) out of the month in return they'll get ass loads of coverage and advertisement. It can be any kind of shop...body, performance, tire, dealership. I am/I'll be talking to my local shops and few dealerships this week and see wat i can come up with. It's all for a good cause

should be good, but all depends size of the place and who is actually willing to come out and help. I would like to see the response of people who are willing to help. For the people who are willing to help...it is not going to be like...help everyone who comes there.....stick to people who actually contact you in the thread/IA...exchange numbers so u know exactly who to look for when you get there...don't kill yourself.....get done and enjoy the show. I have more things planned..this is just a rough outline.....everything will be posted in details once everthing is confirmed. I need input first...ppl willing to help, and shops need to contact me. PM's get filled quick so email me [email protected]
