Nyteryder vs R33 skyline (FROM A DIG)

Well, while I was out running this relativly stock 04 cobra convertable at 10psi on the hwy, when I get back there is a skyline parked across 3 parking spaces so I got out and wanted to see if wanted to play. Before I even got there everyone is telling me to run for money because he lost some to a car about as quick as mine last week. Well after him agreeing to race me he says in the cockies voice imaginable that he will pretty much race for any thing "his pockets are deep". Next thing you know 100dollars is too much. 50 dollars is the bet but he will only run me from a dig. I agreed only because I am willing to give up 2-3 cars out the hole to catch in the by the 1/8.

After alot of ignorance, bull shiting, myself ready to knock his head off for trying to get too tough momentarally, arguing, and my wife about to go up side his head, we finally got a good race going.

Results: Out the whole, I gave up 2-3 cars. I was shifting a 6800 for 1st and 2nd and shifted slow so I dont miss. His passenger was telling me that he was saying after the huge jump off the line he had me but the passenger was saying wait until 3rd gear. Well he was right, once in 3rd I poulled my cars back plus 2 at the line. On our way back he want to play doing so rolls and that is almost not worth speaking about, lets just say I pull by a C-131 cargo plane.

After the money was exchanged he thought a better match up would be lankhosses bolt on+tune c6 z06. They ran and I dont even have to say how that went.

Umm, hello...its a freaking v6 sonoma for christs sakes :crazy: Ive never seen a skyline run in real life...im just curious.

However if you also remember I said the first thing out of my mouth that I did not really expect to win seeing as I have 350hp at the crank and you have 450whp. Plus weight about 1000 pounds lighter... Dont you remember me saying the reason I would not race for $100 is because I am no fool and I dont expect to win? I told you I would race for less for fun. All in all as I said earlier, I was out to have fun and I accomplished that. If you got your feelings hurt at one point sorry about that, I didn’t realize you were so sensitive. If not cool, I enjoyed myself. I have no hard feelings or ill intent I wanted to get baselines and I accomplished that.

Not a problem man. Like I said earlier, I wasnt saying deep pockets to be cocky, I was saying it to relay the fact that I have no problems racing for money, however I was not going to bet a heinous amount on a race I was obviously not going to win. Nothing personal.

Nyteryder its all good man. I have been told that I am like a RHD car, I take some getting used to, however once you get the feel of it you love it like a brother. lol. The reason for my entrance is because I had to make sure people realize I aint there to parking lot pimp, im there to race. Its all good.

Just a few comments, I dont remember you saying you would lose to me if that was the case than yes we could have raced for run if you knew you were gonna hand me some money afterwards.

You are right I did get defensive only because you jump out the car like a bad ass and came out your mouth sideways a few times, what would you expect. And yes after you said you wernt talkin to me I had no need for such a hostile posture, and I wouldnt have advised boxing with me either.

The only real reason why I wanted to run you from a dig is becasue I wanted to know if I had enough power to reel in a moderatlly quick car in the standing 1/4mi. I knew what would have happend if we would have just ran a roll race.

I am not bragging about beating a stock skyline. I race and then post in the kills forum just about every week if the car is running. And with this being my first dig run I thought it might me entertaining for the readers of it, it is all entertainment for me not bragging.

And on a side note there were no ill intent when I got defensive, I just had to get things back down to a respecable level.

Hey guys, I had a great time last night. To the Skyline driver, he wasn't cocky at all with me. He told me ahead of time I would spank him. He just wanted to run me for fun, to see how it would go.

I got there a little late, so I can't comment on everything. But I can see how people would say he is "cocky," and I think there's some truth to that. But he wasn't being a dick about it or anything, that just seems like his nature. Cool guy though. Hell, everyone was cool last night, I think I'll be headed back out tonight!

I might have a run with a KB Cobra setup tonight around 11:00, so I'll try to get him to meet me there.

yeah mo is a real cool, and one thing that makes him different form most skyline owners is he is ready to run his shit and that s why i like him so much. how many people have u seen bring out a skyline and stright up run "anyone" when he ran retro last friday night he lost a few hundrend dollars and was VERY cool about it. he just wants to run his car while its mostly stock against as many cars as he can so he can get a baseline of what he car does against others, then come back with mods a rerun thoose same cars. as far as him being cocky, thats him buying a skyline a couple weeks ago. he really loves that car and if u spend more than 30min with the guy u'll understand that cockyness is not just cockyness but a love for his new car. all he could say after him and J got in a good run was..."that thing is a monster!!!" he gives credit where it is do. he don't hate, he gave respect. yes, there was alittle mis understanding but like i said it was his 1st night out there and really was'nt sure the way things are done. he's more of a track, 1/4 person.

the GTR-46-T-RRR-P are RWD skylines, they were made only on the 1998.3 models and came I-VTEC head and chevy caviler ehaust cam and a PT cruiser intake cam. dumbass's.

Sorry guys.... but there is NO such thing as a GTR Skyline manufactured from the FACTORY in RWD. Now while people may have made this conversion it didnt come that way stock. Even though technically GTR's are RWD and they kick into AWD mode when necessary, they are considered AWD.

Now while poeple may dyno GTR's on a 2wd dyno by deactivating ATTESSA in a number of different ways, there was no such thing as a RWD GTR from Nissan. That would of course be a GTS-T and not a GTR. Feel free to read up on the Skyline Wiki about it.

Now while poeple may dyno GTR's on a 2wd dyno by deactivating ATTESSA in a number of different ways, there was no such thing as a RWD GTR from Nissan. That would of course be a GTS-T and not a GTR. Feel free to read up on the Skyline Wiki about it.

Of course you are. But you see the Skyline GTR-46-T-RRR-P was not produced by Nissan. That was a joint venture between Ford and Bently to produce that model. Hence my post about not coming from a Nissan factory! :D

the GTR-46-T-RRR-P are RWD skylines, they were made only on the 1998.3 models and came I-VTEC head and chevy caviler ehaust cam and a PT cruiser intake cam. dumbass's.

There are also a bunch of evos that are rwd also and yes they do not come out the facotry like that but you can make it. There was a shop called boost solutions that use to make rwd evos all day. So Winsor was correct about trinh gtr having 380 rwhp, but i did see him dyno at Balance and it was about 200 rwhp more..but that was a logn time ago

yes, he said you can turn the AWD off, but from the factory they come stock AWD, not RWD
