The 07 G Sedan has it, I've heard that the rev limit is 7.5k and pushing about 310hp. Torque is supposedly still in the 260 range though.

Somewhere down the line I think a 3.7L V6 is expected. I just found out I get VPP pricing with Nissan/Infiniti so I'm really waiting to see what they come with in the next couple of years. (Especially the GT-R)

Click me (http://www.freshalloy.com/site/cars/nissan/2007/altima/)

Read near the bottom of the article on the first page, no major details, improved cylinder head cooling, variable intake, ect.

Also the QR25DE underwent some changes, again no major details but, the rumors are a taller block, longer rods (better rod to stroke ratio), more agressive camshafts, larger diameter rod journals, and more stable at higher RPMs, 7000ish. Time will tell.

My friend just got a 06 spec(3-5 month ago)and he can't get even close to the redline. The most he gets to is 6.2 or something, but its still a brand new car!

Hmmm, the stock rev limit is 6250. 6800, are you running a standalone, or a reflashed ECU, otherwise I call BS, Nissan must have given you a faulty tach.

Ill back him up on the 6800...only if he was on the highway...flooring it in third, then down shifted to second and dumped the clutch...for that few millionths of a second...he could hit 6800...

Yes, the stock rev limiter starts at 6.2 or 6.3 but it doesnt mean that its gonna stop there and not let u go down more. You can also rev it EASY at 6.5-6.6. Just got to kno how to drive u car man:bump:

Free rev or pull. The ECU stop the fuel injectors at 6250, momentum carries the tach neddle past 6250 on the guage.

The double spike in the green line is me hitting the rev limiter @ 6190ish. I'll log on the way to work and bang the limiter good, fuel cut will happen at 6250. Inertia will pull the motor a few more revs and the ignition will keep sparking, the logger will keep regestering RPM even after the cut. You'll just have to watch the green line in comparason to the blue line.

Ok I banged the rev limiter twice for arguments sake, a picture is worth a thousand words

Purple line is throttle %
Blue is RPM
Green is air fuel ratio
light blue (user imput) is MAF voltage
(EGT and Manifold pressure (boost) logging not being used YET)
The color coded values at the right are derived where the vertical white line intersects the logged values

Notice the small dip in the A/F just to the right of the white line, that's where the ECU takes over and starts to cut fuel, that dip starts on both graphs a 6227. During the rev cut the RPMs do go higher than 6250, but it's not really going to contribute to acceleration. If you come off throttle while in gear the A/F will go to 21 (that's what % is in the atmosphere), so if your lifting to shift anyway and the fuel's going to be cut either because of the lift or the rev limit, these are going to overlap, and the ECU will be satisified, and inertia will carry the revs past the limit w/o really hitting the fuel cut, unless you stay in the throttle. A rev limiter won't do a thing if you miss shift into a lower gear.
