My thoughts exactly. W/ 10k rev limit, those gears are MIGHTY long... PLENTY of time to pull on anyone and their grandmom. :)

Not so sure about the Vettes. The downfall to boosting the s2k is the 6 speed. But they KINDA make up for for it by being able to spin the motor to damn near 10k. From a dig I think it'd be closer than we think. I'd put my oney on the Vette from a dig. A highway run I think the s2k would own. DAMN that makes me wanna see some race footage like that. Too hard to guess who'd own.

That's pretty cool.
I wonder what the highest HP N/A S2K motors are. Both 2.0L and 2.2L???

Superstreet had one on their cover reportedly making 850+ on c16 race gas. Full show car with go to back it up. Some s2k owners think its bs because there wasnt a dynograph :blah:. I dont know if that s2k was really making that kinda power during the shoot but I do believe it possible to do it on the dyno.

850 N/A? I call BS. The highest HP N/A s2k I know of is Inline Pro... and it is NOWHERE near 850HP.

There is another fellow on S2k doing a 2.5 frankenstein. So far he is putting down 250 at the wheels without proper tuning. They expect at least 300 to the wheels.

Oh. LOL. He was talking about N/A S2ks b4 you posted that. I remem the car that you were talking about though. It was the red one w/ the CF fenders? That car was crashed on the way back from the photo shoot for that feature. :(

Why do you say that?

the HIGHEST s2K turbo we can find a DYNO of is 7XX
BABY J

Short gears. I mean the high rev capability evens it out I think. But watch the vid and you will see how useless 1st gear is.

Yeah. The guy that claimed 850 never had a dyno posted. (how convenient huh?) He got a cover feature though in a few mags. I will look it up and see if I can get more specs or a name.

Mike, you know where someone could get ahold of a spare S2000 block? Need to have it sent out to Golden Eagle for some sleeve lovin'.
BABY J
06-29-2006, 01:02 PM
www.inlinepro.com (http://www.inlinepro.com/). Ask for Jeremy. I wouldn't call it a SPARE, LOL, but....

What sleeves do they use? I hear good things about InlinePro, but I dunno...
Have you used them before? Good turn around time and easy to deal with?

Awesome turnaround. I have my block back already and went berzerk on it. I'm kinda at a hard spot though b/c I am leaving for Aussie in around 3 months. I will be honest with you though, I am not too versed in their F20 engine program. Only their Bseries program. I WILL say they (along w/ MSP) are one of the VERY FEW shops that are cracking open brand new F20Cs "with 100% confidence." Worth a call, even if just for the inquiry.

A Main Stream built, GT40R S2000 is in the works I hear...
What are the advantages/disadvantages with going 2.2L over the 2.0L aside from rev capabilities.
BABY J
06-29-2006, 01:17 PM
^^ Too tall of a discussion for me bro. That's above my paygrade. LOL. I've heard of F20s breaking shit loose at 9k, and then there are some that are golden over 10.5k. I think they would be the most finicky motor in the Honda lineup (possibly) when modded?? Maybe?? I'd give Inline a call. Check out their site too. Then let Mike and the crew bring one of their spec sheets to life for a lil "hometown finesse". ;)

keep it 2.0l unless you get the discplacement from the bore. Ill take REVS over DISP anyday on a turbo car

I called InlinePro and they said it doesn't matter which block is chosen.
They're making 560whp on a complete stock S2000 engine with a cast log manifold and GT35R. They're working on a turbular manifold to be able to fit a GT40R in there.
Edit: They use AEBS sleeves, same warranty as the other guys in the market. 2 week turn around, and will offer a core exchange if they have one in stock at the time of sleeving.
BABY J

Addition: **secret** They ALREADY HAVE their own sleeves (B and F20). I saw them when I went there to drop off my block. :) They are just building their stock up. But I would go with AEBS sleeves... can't go wrong w/ their sleeves.
They were also mocking up an equal length mani when I was there too for the S2K. I saw it as well.
