ok, there are two things with my car that im concerned about. my car when i start it up after it sitting for a while will idle at 2k for a a while, i know it usually does this in cold weather and not in warm weather, but it still idles at 2k when i start it up after it sitting for a few hours and what not. The second question is about my car starting up, recently i will turn the key and it turns over, but it will shut off after a few seconds or not even a second. i dont know know what it could be, someone please let me know!
For the running at 2k thing that is pretty normal even in warm weather. The temperature outside is still relatively cold compared to the temp that your engine runs at.
As far as the shutting off thing do you have an after market alarm system installed?

no, i think the previous owner used to have on on it, but from what i remmeber he said he disabled it. but yeah i dont could it be maybe spark plugs or the starter or something

If there was an alarm and it was uninstalled/disabled i woudl put my money on that. Get someone that does alarms to check the connections and pull the alarm out or while you're at it just have them install a good alarm in its place while you have the connections ready...
when you turn the key to start it and give it some gas does the whole car shake trying to turn after it dies after starting normally?? if so thats what problem i have with my car and its the distributors gone bad just saying there might be no spark in the plugs

The starting problem sounds like a fuel issue to me. Cold start injector?
My car does something similar on startup from how you've described it...
For me it is a fuel vsv, which acts to maintain proper fuel pressure during starting and idle.

hmm if that is the case it sounds like that could be the cause of both the problems or something

eh, the vsv would be likely to cause a low lumpy idle. I've had mine bypassed for over a year now and it makes no real difference in the cars operation while it's running aside from the rpm dropping real low and climbing back up when you stop at a light.
I tell this to everybody... if you don't know... bring it to a friend or mechanic that does. Most mechanics will give you a free estimate as far as what the problem is. The local shops used to hate me because I always took the free checkups and fixed the car on my own.
Diagnostic tools are a godsend.
