I have a del sol that has the jdm d15b vtec motor in it and i want to replace it with either a ls vtec or b20 vtec, but i need to know witch is the better combination, because i have heard that ls and b20 blocks weren't that strong, and i am andting to boost the engine. does anyone know which is better and can get higher horsepower levels? And does anyone have a ls or b20 block for sale?

Well, with the B20 you have a bit more torque, but plan on upgrading the internals and resleeve it if you boost it.

would a b20 ,with a b16 head(no rods or piston upgrade) hold up,or it will throw a rod,etc, after some time.. :D

You have no idea what ur talking about. this is the wrong forum for this post anyways. The b20 block has more displacement ( I.e. Different stroke and bore..i believe a 84mm bore?), BUT the cylinder walls are ALOT thinner than a b18b1 or b18a1. The b18b/a have a 81.5mm bore and i think i shorter stroke than the b20. You can bore out the b18 to reach a higher displacment without having to worry about the stock sleeves( only to a certain size.) Some say b16 heads are better for whatever reasons, but i think its been proven that the p72 head flows better and gives better overall performance. I also am not 100% on these facts so read this:..
