I was talking about the new class. Maybe they'll allow a power adder plus slicks in that class. Last year, the SRT-4's there were being juggled back and forth between classes because the officials couldn't get their rules straight on the status of slicks being a power adder.

I'm not sure where that came from. Slicks are not a power adder, and have never been considered one.

The confusion came with what classes allowed slicks, not whether they counted as a power adder. We've had an growing number of FWD wanting to run slicks, but were not competitive enough to run Showdown. We've addressed that this year (as we always try to approve the event based on who comes and what the feed back was). We finalizing the last details of the classes now, but there will be a class that allows slicks for FWDs that is below Showdown for those who are interested.

When are the final classes going to be announced? and is it on May 27th or 28th? and when will pre-reg open? can't wait...

It's on both. We are going to have Saturday (27th) Test and Tune and Sunday 28th Test and Tune and Competitions. We have additional time on Sunday this year - so that means even more runs.

We should have all of the final details released by April 2nd. Pre-reg will open mid April.
