So last night 2much hp (vette), Accordm3 (92 civic hatch), Seth (black Z06 W/black wheels), and myself.. All meet over at Jason's house (accordm3), cause Jason and Seth wanted to race. So as i'm walking up stares i hear this noise coming from Jason's bed room.. So i get closier to listen and this is what i heard...

Anyways needless to say i ran back down stairs.. shortly after we head out the door to line the civic and the Z06 up. They get going about a 50 roll.. they both hit it, they are side by side till about 75-80, seth starts to pull just a hair.. when they both let off Seth in his Z06 was only about 2 cars ahead of Jason.. Now here's the funny part.. Seth drives an 03 Z06 with exhaust and 295 drag radials which were heated up.. Jason's civic had 13" bold street tires spinning the whole time.. OK maybe i'm wrong but i think Jason would of won that race if he wasn't spinnin..

Guys & Girls.. let me know what yall think.. would jason of won or lost with some good tires?

i have all stock internals like i said... for now


a barry grant wet shot. and lt1 edit. tuned by Lamar Walden Automotive.
with shitty spark plugs, that we later changed, it put down 380/513 sae.

the heads are stock lt1 heads. LT4 head out flow the lt1 heads as well as the intake on the lt4. i beat a lt4 with mild bolt ons by about 3-4 cars before letting off. agian this is me spinng the first 100 feet.



now i want to go with a larger cam and port my heads. if i did that id be around like 360 na and about 500 hp with n20... guesstimatin.
but i dont know if stock bottom end can handle it.
so i am going to wait to do all internal stuff when i go with my turbo set up...



i will race once i get my rear swapped right now it is useless as i spin through 3rd.

Yep, that makes since. :jerkit: And as for that TT dyno sheet you posted, you are going to need more than that to beat some of these cars. But I'm sure they'd let you try for some $$ races. And I hope you weren't serious when you said it was tuned at LWA, because your car blows out black smoke like crazy (hence the black stripe joke). I know Rob isn't that bad of a tuner.

I had a car just like that ,but FASTER when I was 17. I look back on it now and that thing was slow as shit. My car had the bottle and more boltons than his car does. It not hard to break the tires loose at 70, 80MPH when its 30 dergrees outside and you have cheap pep boys bald tires on there. He doesn't need wider tires just some with tread. My car 17X9.5 street tires on them and they hook just fine when its not below freezing. V10slowboy car has 18X12 tires on his and they seem to hook well, too :lmfao: Like I said it will all be settled soon enough we can all race each other and then it will be all on video tape. yeah for a supra or viper it might work but you wouldn't think a solid axle car would need 146 mph trap to run a 9 but it depends on the driver i think and the transmission/shifting capability/suspension.

Rons camaro ran 9.96@136 and his 60 wasn't really that good maybe high 1.5 ish and his was a 6 speed so you can't use that as an excuse. I think you would need to see at least 140 to run a high 9 in a 5 or 6 speed car with some decent kind of 60 foot. An auto car can do it with less power. I've seen some mustangs run high 9s at only 133-134 or so but all 60 foot in the 1.3 range.

You are right. He probably did say that. Commerce is 2 hrs away and Reynolds is 2.5 hrs away. That is why it is a waste for us. Why would we drive that far to a track to race someone "in x months"? Hondas are cheaper to build than f-bodies, f-bodies are cheaper to build than Corvettes, and so on. You chose your car. You have to deal with that. What I'm saying is, if you build you motor and I build mine, I bet mine will make more power. Because my motor is bigger. Your car may be smaller and that may even out the playing field a little. If you don't believe me, sorry you will just have to find out soon enough. Here is also a dyno from when I originally had my car tuned on pump gas. The first pulls were untuned, the second was final tune on 93 pump gas.

The 60ft was around a 1.6 or 1.7. The car made 655RWHP and 603RWTQ on 93 pump gas. I don't remeber the 1/8th mile time. Like I said I don't keep the time slips from the track unless it is some kind of big acheivment to me. As I run the car I throw them in the console at the track and the next time I clean out my car they go in the garbage. Like I said before this is my old setup so none of this even matters to me anymore becuase it doesn't exist anymore. I don't have any times or dyno on the new setup yet. I have not seen any 9 second slips from him yet or any dyno sheets for that matter, but this car is no joke. I would not be suprised at all if it runs 9's. I know what his combo can produce and it is well over 1000 rwhp. My car will only have 700-750 without nitrous and I am hoping to get it into the 9's this season. Anyway everyone is talking a lot of shit, we should all just go to the track together and solve it. I am hoping that we can get a lot of grudge racing this season.

It a supercharger not a turbo. Its a f1RC prochager. Its a prototype that is on a Ls1 car. The car is very fast. Low 8's with a 3800lb car.

The dyno #'s were my Z06 bone stock. The car ended up making 421rwhp with cam only, bolt on car. The car also made 551 on the bottle. The only track time I ever got on it was a 12.5 at 123 with a 2.9 60ft, 30 series tires. So, yes it was slow at the track. But on the hwy it would've drug that Mustang of yours. :jester: I'm just kidding on that, but I don't know how fast your car is. I know I raced a 351 '91 coupe in a heads/cam f-body and put 6 car lengths on him and then Chris, with the 03 Cobra, was behind me and he put 4 car lengths on him. What does your car run in the quarter? What is your hp/tq? Just wondering, I know you said 9's is hard to do. I just figured with your weight ratio you should have no problems getting there.
