i was wondering ive done alittle research on unleashing little hp gains in dsm's by doing small stuff like take the honey comb out or balance shaft etc, who knows what all you can do to get all you can ? im runnin a n/a laser right now wanting to see what all motor can do before i boost ( and money) lol im not doing to bad right now i have a gsx head, rs turbo tranny, and i can hang with gsr's through third so i was thinking of doing header maybe or anything else you can suggest besides add a turbo and be done thanks

Header, EGR blockoff plate
Exhaust
High flow cat
headwork,

And by the way, yoru GSX head is the same as yoru NA head minus the cam grind

You could bore it out or get a mustang TB (like a bbk or whatever other brands are out there) and they will be bigger than you could bore the stock one to.

you don't want to remove the honeycombs....it'll cause more headaches than anything else. You can back out the screw on the bottom of the mas so that it sits flush with the bottom casing of the mas. The screw is hidden under a rubber or paper cover, can't remeber what it was...but it's a real simple free mod (won't net you much gains though, but I guess every little bit helps).

yeah mines 1g i found a header on ebay but i dont really like it lol, im not going to spend alot of money on shit i wont need after i go boost just wondering, also is there anyway to tighten the shift cables up? i found a few mods to help the play and all but not tighten the cable, im afriad mine might be stretched alittle after 15 years

I'm not sure if there is a way to tighten them but your cables should be fine it's just that dsm shifters always feel kinda rubbery. You can buy some symbroski (sp?) bushings (only place to get them now is machv.com), or do the free mod which is made of just washers that replace the rubber bushings, but symbroski it is better and only about $20. Machv also sell stiffer bushings that replace the ones where the cables attach to the tranny.
