Just a basic, run of the mill 240sx. No big exhaust, built SR, or 18x12" Works. So, if you clicked on the link expecting some spectacular, built to drift fiberglass slut of a car or a LS swapped highway monster, just go ahead and click back.
Got it stock. Had some Cobra wheels sitting around, so I ordered new tires and threw them on.

Drove it for about a week before the wheels got blacked out due to the PO stripping them, and snatched up some cheap Tein coilovers for a steal:

It's sitting probably an inch lower than in the picture now. Waiting to get some spacers to go a little lower since the rims and tires have clearance issues with the coilovers up front. Some where in there was some PDR, polishing, tension rod bushings, full OEM tune up, and engine bay detailing, but lets face it no one cares to look at pictures of that!
Sucks going from some of the funs toys that I used to DD to this stock 4 cylinder, but nice house/boring cars > living with parents/fun cars

Wheels look terrible in black. Car looked much nicer with unpainted wheels.

Agree, the black wheels just make it looks cheap, but the unpainted ones make it look clean and nice.

I really want chrome 18x9.5/18x10.5 (sizing somewhere around there), but didn't think the black looked so bad.
Not really opposed to natural casting- it just kinda looked incomplete to me.

The wheels being black just cheapens the look of the car. You can always tell if a wheel was meant to be black or not. And these were just not meant to be black.

Agreed on the wheels. I can see in the first pic, the paint flaking off on the back wheel, but I would have gone with a good silver/gunmetal over black. Clean car though, never been a fan of that damn color though lol :)

Yeah, 3 of the 4 wheels were half way stripped when they came into my possession. I could see them with a factory-like silver finish, but for it to look right I think powdercoat would probably be necessary. Not sure I want to have these long enough to have to take those tires back off- they were a big pain in the ass to mount!
Oh, man! This is one of my favorite S14 colors. Can't say it would be good for any other car, but the S14 pulls it off!

Are you asking if I'm mature enough to put toys aside and get a stock, reliable car with a/c that's good on gas to commute, since my trusty ol' turbo diesel isn't the most fuel efficient, then your answer is yes.
Do I want to drive a 240sx, much less a stock 240sx? Not really. Am I thankful for my DD? Yes.

Catnip, did you get a red or blue 240?
Serious note, driving a 240 in stock trim as a commuter is exactly what a 240 is best at.
My thought to most is, why take a commuter and dump money into it taking away from what it is. An efficient cheap way to commute. No matter how much you wrap, change parts, or even put a bow on it - it's still a commuter.

His 240sx is a champagne color. Not sure if you can see the pic he posted or not.
Evan, thats not bad looking at all. I am in the market right now for a 92-93 Inregra sedan with an automatic as a daily.

No, sir. Haven't really done much buying, selling, or trading lately. If you get a 240sx stock, for the most part I'd keep it that way. If you get one that's already been beat and molested, may as well continue the trend. I love driving a fast/quick 240sx a lot more than a stock one, but either way they're fun and a great platform for about anything.

Thanks, Robert! Are you planning to keep the GSR? I love that thing. I'd hate to see you get rid of it out of boredom/need for a bigger car, instead of just adding a car to the stable.

every car is that way, that's where a forum like this comes into play, drop an LS1 and a t56 trans in this thing, and maybe an lsd diff, you can even have a compressor hooked up with custom line, and you will have yourself a stock-looking 240 that would make a great dd, and like 350 extra horses for when you running late, or just cruise at low rpm on hwy and get good gas miles, still great commuter

That's when you look at yourself and say - why didn't I just use a proper platform to begin with? Like a Corvette...?
