Well, if it worked fine until you changed the fuel pump. I would probably re inspect all of your installation to make sure it has been correctly done.

What else did you touch when replacing the fuel pump?

All I dune was disconnect the battery didn't touch anything else besides fuel pump

check your ecu. once one of the wires on my harness was poking out and it didn't let me rev past 3500.

disconnecting the battery resets the ecu so it still sounds like an ecu prob lol idk

Disconnected battery ill check it in the mourning.....hope that's it......

Have You tuned You car? I had had a similar prob. I pulled my ecu for something an I went an put it back in an it wouldn't open up past 4k. I had a non vtec ecu stuck it in an it reved! So I went to the shop an they said it needed dataloging. An that fixed it.

Stock ecu.....think it might be bad.....car wount start at all......can hear fuel pump start.....

Fixed problem had a bad ecu a friend let me barrow his p72 with jumper.....Hell yeah thanks IA.....
