Cliffs: Obama lets 2 kids make a call from his limo. They tried to call mom but no answer.


Was this an arranged photo op, or just a kind act?

He just made their day, so it shouldn't matter really. Every kid wants to meet a president of the United States. Democrat or Republican.

The poll is just a tally of how many respondants are cynical about Obama's motives. This seems like kinda a trite topic to discuss. With the wars, debt issues, and the economy, who cares about why Obama let some kids use his phone?

He is a typical politician. Why would I think ANYTHING they do doesnt have ulterior motives? This is especially true with a first term president. Nothing POTUS does is happenstance. It is all 100% scripted.




With the wars, debt issues, and the economy,


I would love to talk about these things, but honestly, no one cares enough for a real debate. We are now in 4 limited wars, debt is through the roof and still rising, and the economy is tanking, yet the vast majority of voting age people are more interested in American Idol than they are in politics.

I dont know or care. Its not gonna work. Im willing to bet most voters have already made their decisions on whether or not they are going to vote for him or not. I say not.

You may very well be right that it was all staged but being so sure it was without any evidence beyond your general distrust of Obama (or politicians at large) seems like just being unnecessarily cynical. What is the point of such cynicism anyways? Let's say it was all cold calculation, so what? I don't see how such discussion is constructive in any way.

That's why there are more people in the whoreslounge. I thought this section was different. I've definitely gained some different perspectives by participating in discussions here.

It was different in 08 and during the runup to obamacare but it has trailed sown to nothing most of the time.

I really have learned a lot on this forum. It really does disturb me how many people think the gov't is there to provide them with everything they need to survive. How little self reliance there is these days.

The real story here is that the new presidential limo still has a StarTac car phone. I haven't seen one of those bastards since like 1989.
