ive been building my motor over the past month eagle rods wisceo pistons bearings you name it, cranked the car up tonight and let it run for 30 mins ran fine no problems at all but when i went to change the oil it was obvious i blew the head gasket. head was torqued to arp sepcs and i never had a problem before. im open to any ideas to what caused this cause at this point i wanna sell the bitch for parts...
what kinda b series? lsvtec?

^My question also. I've had it several times where people use the wrong headbolts/studs. ARP makes head studs specifically for the ls/vtec or b20/vtec setups.
you installed it wrong, it cant be anything else.

its a b16a block with a b16 head
either you installed it wrong, or the head/block deck is warped

Yeah, true. Very easy to put it on upside down.

Did it over heat when you let it run for 30min? You could possibly have a crack in the head, just throwing an idea out there. But can't really say anything specifically since the head isn't off.

And if its cracked, its definitely warped... Lol.

agreed. a local machine shop can vacuum test the head for cracks, and tell you if it needs to be milled
