I have a 94 civic with a b20b, and the car would heat up when its been left to idle but when you drive it it would cool down and go to normal temperature. When it cooled down I opened the radiator and air came out so I filled it up and drove it it ran fine then a day later it did the same thing this happen two more times and i notice the radiator had expanded out wide it looks like a cheap aluminum radiator.I was just wondering why this is happening before I replace it. Thanks and how do you rep on here.

As for the radiator, no clue. I can't even comprehend how it would expand.

starting off, your losing water/anti freeze.
does the car smoke? white ish blue?
sign of any leak from radiator? hose?
if the radiator was a cheap one, when starting to over heat, the water/ anti freeze push the cheap aluminum outward ( weak walls )
normally it'll stress the radiator and this is how many bust open.
do you have a fan on it any chance?
